Herford, 28 January 2025 – Germany's premier high-end audio specialist, T+A elektroakustik, continues the rejuvenation of its speaker portfolio with the latest evolution of its renowned Talis series. The newly unveiled Talis S 330 floorstanding and R 330 bookshelf models feature an upgraded magnesium tweeter, enhanced sound quality, and a refreshed design language, marking a significant advancement in their lifecycle. Both models will be available from January 2025, priced at USD 18,950.- for the S 330 and USD 9,980,- for R 330, respectively.
"Our Talis speakers have always been designed to be objects of beauty that deliver audiophile-level sound," says Siegfried Amft, CEO of T+A, during the presentation of the latest models. The Talis S 330 and R 330 represent the latest iteration of T+A's elegant aluminium speaker series, crafted in the heart of their Herford workshop. These speakers have undergone a comprehensive technical overhaul while maintaining their signature design in a process T+A refers to as a "lifecycle impulse."
The first thing to catch the eye is the striking, yet subtle new design of the speaker's chassis which now come in all black. The sleek, all-aluminium cabinet features T+A's signature WrapAround Baffle. This innovation extends the baffle beyond the edges of the speaker, seamlessly connecting with the body through an almost invisible seam. Gone are the days of bi-color designs, replaced by a monochrome elegance that now complements the newly introduced magnesium tweeters.
The WrapAround Baffle, unique to the Talis line, takes T+A’s acclaimed OrganicBaffle design further. As with all T+A speakers, the front is free of visible screws, eliminating harmful diffraction and reflections before they can affect the sound. The extended baffle ensures superior acoustics, while the uniform black drivers give the Talis speakers an even more sophisticated presence.
T+A's developers have not only focused on aesthetics but have also made substantial improvements to the sound. Both the Talis S 330 and R 330 now feature a newly developed magnesium tweeter, delivering a dramatically enhanced sound signature. As Siegfried Amft explains: "With the use of magnesium, we’ve pushed the sonic limits of the Talis series considerably higher. The entire high-frequency range is now clearer and more precise, without any harshness or distortion. The new sound signature brings together audiophile precision with an enjoyable listening experience, never leaning too far in one direction."
T+A’s renowned innovations, such as StarStabilizer membranes that ensure consistent pistonic motion in the drivers, an internally braced aluminium cabinet maximising internal volume, and a reworked three-way crossover for enhanced imaging, all feature prominently in the new Talis series. The Talis S 330 and R 330 go beyond mere updates, presenting themselves as virtually new models.
Both speakers will be available in Silver and Black finishes for delivery starting January 2025 and can be pre-ordered through authorised dealers immediately. The Talis S 330 is priced at USD 18,950.- and the Talis R 330 will retail for USD 9,980,-.
