T+A Continues Successful Lifecycle Impulses with the New MP 200 G3 in the popular Series 200. Additionally, T+A announces a future-proof upgrade for the previous MP 200 model, available from Spring 2025.
Herford, 28 November 2024 – T+A, Germany’s leading manufacturer of high-end audio systems, announces that the newly developed Audiophile Streaming Architecture (ASA) G3 is now standard in the popular MP 200, the compact player from T+A’s acclaimed Series 200. With this advancement, the MP 200, known globally for its sound quality, intuitive usability, and compact design, reaches the cutting edge of streaming technology. The new MP 200 G3 is available to order as of December 2024 at an MSRP of USD $6,590.00.
“Our ASA G3 represents one of the most significant technological advancements of recent years, and we are now gradually integrating it into both new and existing products,” says T+A North America CEO Dave Nauber, at the launch of the new MP 200 G3 Multi Source Player. “Just as with our R and HV Series, ASA G3, along with numerous refinements, prepares the MP 200 G3 for the next phase of its product lifecycle.”
The ASA G3 is the technical highlight of this new generation of multi-source players, providing users with access to a wide range of high-quality and convenient Connect services. This architecture allows direct music streaming from mobile devices to the T+A system, including options such as Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, and Apple AirPlay 2. ASA G3 also integrates multiple high-resolution streaming services and enables native DSD file streaming via the streaming client, without any conversion. At the time of writing, Roon Ready certification is applied for and pending.
With this Series 200 lifecycle update, T+A continues the naming convention established with the new R and HV Series: all multi-source devices using ASA G3 are designated with the “G3” suffix, clearly identifying them as the latest models in their respective product lines: MP 200 G3.
In addition to the enhanced streaming architecture, T+A engineers have upgraded the signal processing by implementing a new motherboard with convenience features. Now the CD drive is also used to retrieve additional information, such as album artwork in the MusicNavigator G3 App, via the Gracenote music service.
While the new MP 200 G3 Multi Source Player may be ordered starting in December 2024, T+A is also offering an upgrade option for the previous MP 200 model, enabling it to be factory-upgraded to ASA G3, starting in Spring 2025. This upgrade includes new hardware components for the streaming architecture and custom control software tailored to the device. T+A will inform users in a separate message once upgrade appointments can be booked.
Reflecting on the comprehensive update of T+A’s product lineup, COO Conradin Amft commented: “The strong market response and high demand for upgrades demonstrate how precisely our team has translated customer desires into a tangible product with ASA G3.” Amft noted, however, that due to high upgrade demand, the MP 200 upgrade for existing products will only be available from Spring 2025.
The MP 200 G3 will be available in silver and black anodized finishes, through authorised retailers at a suggested retail price of USD $6,590.00.
