1/15/2020 - UK based KEF has been busy. 2019 saw the introduction of their space saving LSX speakers, and a top to bottom redesign and refresh of their middle of the range R series speakers, all garnering unanimous praise. Never one to rest on their laurels KEF has the hit the ground running in 2020 announcing a new model and new finishes for their top of the range Reference lineup of speakers.
Now available across their entire Reference range and center speakers is a handsome new Silver Satin Walnut finish with a tone-on-tone, Silver Satin aluminum front baffle and pair-matched, real Walnut wood veneered cabinets. Very Stylish!
Kent Engineering & Foundry finishes in Copper Black and Blue Ice White are now available for Reference 2c and 4c center channel speakers making finish matching easier for wider AV system configurations.
The complete lineup of finishes for 2020 includes Piano Black, Silver Satin Walnut, Kent Edition Copper Black and Kent Edition Blue Ice White for all floor, bookshelf and center channel models.
KEF has also introduced a new smaller Reference In-Wall, THX® Certified Ultra model to support high-end custom installed theater applications.
The Reference range of speakers utilizes KEF’s Total System Design philosophy, their superb Uni-Q ‘point source’ driver array, bass drivers with large vented magnet assemblies, and exceptionally light and rigid aluminum cones. All Reference models are designed, engineered and hand built at KEF’s Maidstone, UK facility.
