Qobuz Partners with Soho Radio to Supercharge New Music Discovery
Qobuz, the ultimate destination for music lovers seeking high-quality streaming and downloads, is excited to announce a new creative partnership with the London-based, groundbreaking global broadcaster, Soho Radio.
The collaboration aims to redefine the way music enthusiasts connect with emerging artists and grow the following of both brands through a series of on-air shows, live sessions, exclusive mixes, and specially curated playlists.
Broadcasting live from London and New York to the world, Soho Radio produces over 200 monthly shows with an eclectic mix of music, podcasts, and live events making it a vibrant hub for artists, musicians, and curious minds. The online station's ethos of championing innovation, creativity, and emerging talent aligns perfectly with the Qobuz platform, and both brands believe passionately in delivering the very best music experience and editorial content to connect cultures and communities.
"Soho Radio's audience is a perfect fit for Qobuz, and vice-versa. I got a great response when I guested on Morning Glory earlier this year, and working with James and the team is always fun and exciting" says Qobuz Managing Director, Dan Mackta.
"We are thrilled to partner with Qobuz — as pure music lovers and enthusiasts ourselves, this is a tailor-made fit to join forces and create some really unique content for our listeners. We can't wait to get going!" adds Soho Radio Station Manager, Rachael Bird.
Leading the diverse series of activations will be musical auteur James Endeacott, host of the station's only daily show Morning Glory. James will select the best content from the Qobuz platform, including fresh angles on new music, magazine articles, and the latest charts. A unique review segment featuring James and regular special guests will also take place every two weeks, offering an engaging discussion on the hottest new releases.
This will be complemented by 12 live sessions over the next six months, capturing unique performances from talented artists. The sessions will be professionally filmed to create video content for both Soho Radio and Qobuz's online platforms, making sure music fans never miss a beat.
In addition, Qobuz has handpicked artists to create an exhilarating weekly mix for James to play during his show, offering listeners a fresh musical journey full of discovery every time they tune in. Meanwhile, James will curate his own exclusive playlist for Qobuz, selecting the best tracks from his show that week.
Soho Radio's impressive roster of presenters, artists and industry connections will also be closely involved, such as renowned DJ Norman Jay MBE, dub legend Dennis Bovell, multiple record labels spanning all genres, and more, pooling their diverse expertise to create 12 exclusive playlists for Qobuz, spanning various genres to suit every music lover's taste.
This unprecedented partnership between Qobuz and Soho Radio promises to reimagine the way listeners interact with their favorite artists and explore new sounds like never before by bringing together the best of high-resolution streaming and radio's evergreen appeal.
