New over-the-air firmware update 4.30 brings Melco’s latest improvements to the N10, N100 and N1 (EX)

2nd December, 2021, Tokyo, Japan: Leading digital music library specialist Melco Audio has released a new over-the-air firmware update (4.30), which brings a host of updates for the company’s N100, N10 and N1EX (EX Series) of digital libraries

The new update, which has already been automatically sent to owners of Melco’s current EX Series or EX-updated digital music libraries, can be simply installed from the front panel with a few button presses.

Melco’s new 4.30 firmware brings a number of benefits, including updates to the media server software, improved file sharing and Windows integration, plus better filename handling within Melco’s import, backup and revert functions.

Further upgrades include improved web service availability, support for temporary Android USB tethering and better importing from CD-DA drives to expansion storage drives. On the N100 and N10 libraries, one of the USB ports can now be registered as an ‘expansion’ port bringing automatic recognition of additional music on power-up.

Additionally, when using Melco libraries into a USB DAC, support has been enabled for selected third-party remote controls: the L8STAR G20S pro and August PCR450 are compatible, offering basic commands.

Melco dealers are available to help with any update queries and retailers can be found online using Melco’s dealer locator tool: melco-audio-masters.com/approved-dealers

About Melco

Melco (Maki Engineering Laboratory Company) was established by Makoto Maki in 1975 in Japan. Maki, an enthusiastic audiophile, established the company to design and manufacture the finest audio components of the time; the undoubted masterpiece of the Melco line was the turntable (introduced into the UK in 1980) which set new standards in music reproduction.

From those early beginnings, Melco developed into the largest computer peripherals manufacturer in Japan (Buffalo Inc.), offering advanced products based on rigorous R&D. These included wireless routers, Ethernet data switches and storage devices such as NAS drives. Now, the company is proud to revive the highly respected Melco brand, offering discerning audiophiles high-technology network audio components in the spirit of those much-revered early Melco products, while incorporating the very latest research into reliable, high-performance networked devices and storage. Melco-audio-masters.com
