FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 13, 2017 MoFi Distribution proudly announces the addition of the My Sonic Lab brand to their product lineup. Founded by master cartridge maker Mr. Yoshio Matsudaira in 2003, the goal was to pursue and develop the ultimate dream cartridges. Mr. Matsudaira has been a highly sought after OEM designer of high performance cartridges since 1959, with a client list that has included respected brands such as Koetsu, Air Tight, Miyabi, Supex and Audio Craft.
My Sonic Lab follows a specific design philosopy that includes the following attributes:
- Very low impedance with high energy output.
- Proprietary SH-µX core material maximizes energy without loss as a result of its ultra high
initial permeability and flux density.
- A precise and genuinely transparent sonic signature.
- Minimum coil windings for high resolution sound yet a three to five times higher output
due to SH-µX core.
- Carefully selected and processed metals to control body and cantilever resonances.
My Sonic Lab’s lineup is comprised of six moving coil cartridges, ranging in price from $3,995 for the Eminent EX to $10,995 for the Signature Platinum. All My Sonic Lab cartridges feature very low internal impedance between 0.6 and 1.8Ω and output from 0.3 to 0.5mV. “The addition of the My Sonic Lab product line is an excellent compliment to our current Koestu lineup of cartridges. Rounding out the lineup is the “Stage 1030” moving coil step-up transformer, featuring an exclusive Hi-μ core for ultra low impedance moving coil cartridges.
Effective December 11th, My Sonic Lab will be joining the MoFi Distribution family, further contributing to their distribution of distinctive products in virtually every high-performance audio category.
