Luxman Proudly Announces Their Ultimate Flagship 15000 Audiophile Cable Series

BALLSTON SPA, New York – October 18, 2018 – Luxman, famous for their extensive line of top-rated audiophile components catering to discerning music lovers, introduces their latest reference-class audiophile interconnect and speaker cables. The new 15000 Series builds upon the already well-established 10000 Series of audiophile cables and incorporates the latest in reference-grade materials and proprietary design elements.

The 15000 series consists of the JPR-15000 unbalanced and JPC-15000 balanced interconnect cables, each featuring dual linear strand (non-twisted) wire cores comprised of 7-Nines class (7N – 99.99998% pure) Dia Ultra Crystallized Copper (DUCC)*, along with extensive shielding and sheathing and single direction connection, are ideal for source-to-preamp and pre-to-power amp hookups, and each are 1.3m in length. The JPS-15000 3m-length speaker cable also features dual individually shielded multi-strand non-twisted DUCC cores, each with multi-layer shielding and sheathing, and all three 15000 series cables feature Luxman’s unique Adjustable Branch Holder technology, which allows for use with widely-spaced connector terminals.

JPR-15000 Unbalanced Interconnect Cable

Whereas conventional unbalanced (2 conductor) interconnect cables usually feature coaxial construction, with a single wire core (hot) and an outer metallic sheath (cold/shield), the JPR-15000 features dual identical wire cores, comprised of 7N-class DUCC multi-strand cables, each individually shielded. The DUCC cable cores are linear-stranded (non-twisted) to prevent inductive-related signal transfer distortion.

A multi-layer design, the individual DUCC linear-stranded wire cores are surrounded by a non-conductive sheath, and then individually shielded. A drain wire separates the two cores, and all three wires are surrounded by a non-conductive sheath, which is then surrounded by a conductive sheath for optimum shielding, and then further surrounded by the outer non-conductive sheath.

The cable is uni-directional (with arrows on the outer sheath), with the shielding sheath drain wire connected to the source component, to prevent externally-induced EMF from reaching the driven (sink) component. Customized gold-plated connectors (exclusive to the JPR-15000) ensure the highest purity signal transfer.

JPC-15000 Balanced Interconnect Cable

Featuring the same multi-layer construction and 7N DUCC wiring, the 1.3m JPC-15000 interconnect cable provides all of the same benefits as the JPR-15000 in a balanced configuration, including highest purity 7N-class DUCC linear-stranded multi-wire cores, along with multiple sheathing and shielding layers and directional (one-way) signal transfer.

The JPC-15000 features top-class Neutrik® XLR connectors with gold-plated pins for the ultimate in signal transfer purity, along with the same ultra-low capacitance (70 pF/m) and the same ultra-low resistance (18 mOhms/m) as the JPR-15000.

JPS-15000 Loudspeaker Cable

Featuring large diameter, high current DUCC 7N-class multi-strand non-twisted ultra high purity copper cables, the JPS-15000 provides the ultimate amplifier-to-loudspeaker power transfer function. The ultra-low resistance design ensures lossless current transmission, with virtually no reactive effects.

As with the JPR-15000 and JPC-15000 interconnects, the JPS-15000 speaker cable features our exclusive Adjustable Branch Holder technology that allows custom termination widths for compatibility with virtually any stereo or dual-mono amplifier configuration.

The non-twisted multi-strand heavy guage DUCC wire core structure eliminates unwanted inductance for the widest possible bandwidth, and each core features individual shielding and multiple sheathing elements for uniformity along the entire cable length, which is 3m (118”/9.8’).

Equipped with our exclusive dual-diameter gold-plated, high current, heavy duty Y-lug connectors, the JPS-15000 can easily accommodate just about any amplifier or loudspeaker terminal type, including standard diameter and large diameter connections.

Exclusive Adjustable Branch Holder Technology

Depending on the system configuration, with different input and output jack spacings and speaker output terminal spacings, it is sometimes desirable to have a wider distance between a cable’s two connectors. For example, a pre-amp driving dual mono-block power amps may require a wider-than-normal spacing between the two terminating cable connectors. Similarly, a system might consist of BTL (bridged transformer-less) stereo power amps each running in high power mono mode, with the BTL-mode speaker output connectors spaced much more widely apart.

Luxman’s exclusive Adjustable Branch Holder technology allows the user or installer to easily adjust the cable connector widths for compatibility with virtually any system configuration.

All three 15000 series cables feature integral aluminum covers over a dual-core clamp at each end of the cable’s outermost sheath. By simply pushing on the holder’s sides, the aluminum covers easily pop off, allowing the internal dual-core clamp to be shifted forward (toward the connectors).

The vivid cobalt blue outer sheath, comprised of non-magnetic carbon pigment, can then be trimmed quickly and easily with a simple sharp blade or razor-knife to whatever widening length is necessary. Then, the dual-core clamp can be slid back and the aluminum covers snapped back together, and the result is customized cable connector spacing with a factory-fresh look.

Pricing & Availability

The JPR-15000 and JPC-15000 1.3m interconnecting cables carry an MSRP of $1,095 each, and are available now.
