J.SIKORA DEBUTS 15TH ANNIVERSAY STANDARD MAX TURNTABLE AT AXPONA 2024

--Limited Edition Turntable Sure to Wow in Nirvana A Room--

Schaumberg, IL, 12 April 2024: J.Sikora Turntables, designer and manufacturer of some of the finest turntables in the world, proudly announces the worldwide premiere of their 15th Anniversary Edition of the Standard MAX turntable today at AXPONA 2024.  Notable Audio Products, J.Sikora’s US Distributor, will showcase this this table in the Nirvana A room at the Schaumburg Convention Center. The Anniversary table will be the analog source for a high-end audio system consisting of the debut Aidas Cartridge Mammoth Tusk Limited Edition Cartridge; debut of the Joseph Audio Pearl Graphene Ultra speakers; Doshi Audio’s EVO Preamp, Monoblocks and Phono Preamp; Berkeley Audio Design’s Alpha DAC Reference 3 and USB Series 2.0; Aurender’s N30SA music server; Cardas’ Clear Beyond cables; and HRS’ EXR Rack.

In 2009, Mr. Sikora completed the design of his first turntable. It was the basis of the current Standard Max model. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of J.Sikora Turntables, the company’s founder, Janusz Sikora, set off on a project to push the performance limits of the award-winning Standard MAX turntable.

Mr. Sikora began the design effort by seeing how much technology of his Reference turntable he could trickle down into the Anniversary table. He experimented extensively with replacing many of the aluminum components with brass and bronze. Through iterative prototyping, measurements, and listening sessions with his son Robert, they settle on what is now the 15th Anniversary turntable.

This new version of Standard Max is a highly tuned instrument for incredible music reproduction. The table contains unique combinations of metals and alloys.  In the turntable suspension, aluminum elements were replaced with brass. The separating layers at the base of the platter are now made of steel, copper, and solid brass plates. The motor housings, as in the Reference turntable, are made of 1 cm thick stainless steel, with improved internal damping and the bases are made of a 2 cm thick layer of brass. Material changes have also been introduced to the armboards. The new armboard is made of brass, steel, and aluminum. The use of these new materials in critical places enables the table to achieve an ever of higher-level information retrieval with a degree of sonic purity than we thought possible when we started this project.  Finally, this anniversary Standard Max will be bundled with the Reference Power Supply.

One could even describe this creation as a Standard Max with the soul of our Reference turntable. Each of the 15 Anniversary tables will be numbered as fitting for a collector’s edition.  A follow-on model will enter production following the sale of this limited-edition turntable.
