Schaumberg, IL—April 13, 2018: EgglestonWorks, Memphis-based manufacturer of High End loudspeaker systems, will be displaying at 2018 AXPONA, at the Renaissance Schaumberg Hotel and Convention Center, room 614, starting Friday, April 13.
Once Again, EgglestonWorks’ will be displaying with Triangle Art and once again, the room will showcase EgglestonWorks’ acclaimed Viginti, their 20th Anniversary speaker which, in its first year of production, has earned both critical and commercial success.
Axpona will also mark the introduction of our newest model: Kiva. Known inside the company as “Baby Viginti,” Kiva is a direct beneficiary of the three years of research and development lavished upon its big brother. Like Viginti, Kiva employs an MTM (Midrange-Tweeter-Midrange) driver array with discrete, rear-ported transmission lines for each driver, a technique which both prevents reflected acoustic energy from coming back through the driver diaphragms and provides a spacious, quasi-dipole radiation pattern. Kiva’s dual 7 ½ inch woofers are housed in a discrete sub-enclosure whose slot-loading design is identical to Viginti, combining depth and power with speed and delicacy.
Like all EgglestonWorks’ “Small Batch” Loudspeakers, Kiva is designed and manufactured in Memphis: America’s First City of Music. The first EgglestonWorks model named in honor of Memphis’ musical heritage, Kiva was a local recording studio co-founded by Eagles alumnus Joe Walsh. It was here that Stevie Ray Vaughn recorded “In Step” and “The Sky is Crying” At $14,500 US Retail, Kiva delivers levels of performance and musicality unmatched at its price.
