Bluebird Music Announces the new Liszt Reference from Vienna Acoustics

Buffalo, NY, April 13, 2022 --- Bluebird Music, distributor of high-performance audio products since 2000, is pleased to announce the new Vienna Acoustics Liszt Reference loudspeakers.

The Liszt Reference is a completely redesigned version of Vienna’s Liszt speaker and joins Vienna’s other new Reference models: Beethoven Baby Grand Reference, Beethoven Concert Grand Reference and Maestro Grand Reference. The Liszt Reference is the top model in Vienna’s Reference line.

The top section of the speaker, called the “Music Center” module, is completely independent from the lower cabinet. As such it can be positioned at the optimal angle towards the listening position while remaining completely isolated mechanically from the bass cabinet. This clever design ensures absolute purity of sound in the critical midrange.

At the heart of its design is an all-new version of Vienna’s patented 6 inch Flat-Spider-Cone coincident driver which is the result of an intensive development project conducted over many years. This second-to-none driver assembly perfectly matches an astonishing new flat-spidercone midrange drive unit with an equally remarkable new tweeter in a revolutionary ring radiator design.

The new coaxial tweeter incorporates technology from the superb tweeter and super-tweeter used in Vienna’s previous flagship models. Offering all the benefits of a point-source design the new tweeter and ring radiator assembly delivers uncanny precision and spaciousness, and with extension to 35kHz the Liszt Reference presents breathtaking resolution while still retaining the heartwarming natural tone Vienna is known for.

While the Music Center handles high and middle frequencies, three 7 inch Flat X4P Spidercone-woofers with recessed fabric center-cone handle the bass in a separate and elaborately devised enclosure.

Vienna’s new flat composite cones are extremely stiff and light but more importantly they deliver a precise piston-like movement resulting in accuracy, transparency and timing usually only found in loudspeakers costing much more.

The unique bass cabinet design utilizes extensive bracing and multiple enclosures for the woofers with each enclosure vented and uniquely tuned. This unique design produces the lowest bass with an ideal transition between the bass and midrange drivers. The result is a loudspeaker system with tremendous bass extension, speed and liquidity and a seamless coherent presentation.

As with all Vienna Acoustic speaker systems, the Liszt Reference is meticulously handcrafted to the highest standards of quality in Vienna Austria. Each finished speaker is matched to the reference within 0.3 dB, to ensure the most effortless and natural performance from every speaker that leaves the factory.
