beyerdynamic Returns to the DJ Market With New Customizable Headphones Featuring Interchangeable On-Ear and Over-Ear Pads

HEILBRONN, GERMANY – October 22, 2025 Today, beyerdynamic steps back into the DJ booth with the launch of the DJ 300 PRO X and DJ 300 PRO X CLUB - the company’s first DJ headphones in over a decade. Both headphones feature a unique 2-in-1 modular design that can instantly switch between on-ear and over-ear configurations, giving DJs the freedom to choose their preferred fit. Each model can also be personalized through the beyerdynamic online configurator, allowing wearers to create ear cup designs that match their individual style. The DJ 300 PRO X and DJ 300 PRO X CLUB will make their public debut at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) before officially launching in the U.S. in Q4 2025 for $279.99 USD.

One Sound. Two Styles.

While both headphones share the same core performance and features, they differ slightly in their design. The DJ 300 PRO X delivers a clean, minimalist aesthetic built for professionals who value understated style. The DJ 300 PRO X CLUB adds a bold edge with its silver fork, vibrant orange “CLUB” lettering, and street-inspired look - bridging studio precision with stage presence.

The interchangeable pad system transforms each pair from on-ear to over-ear in seconds. An on-ear fit is ideal for portability, while the over-ear option offers enhanced isolation. With this flexibility, DJs can move seamlessly between studio and stage without switching headphones.

“The DJ scene is as diverse as the music we play. That’s why our latest DJ headphones come in two versions – one minimal and one bold,” explains Kevin Nietsch, Product Manager at beyerdynamic. “We’re particularly proud of our unique 2-in-1 system, which makes the headphones a truly versatile tool. And for those who want to go one step further, our customizable ear cups offer the chance to make a personal statement.”

Precise Sound. Iconic Style.

A dynamic 45mm driver delivers rich bass, crisp highs, and powerful sound that stays clean and controlled even at high volumes. Exceeding the standard size of most DJ headphones, it offers exceptional detail and balance - ensuring every kick, hi-hat, and transition cuts through the mix with clarity and precision.

Designed for reliability on stage and in the booth, the detachable cable connects securely to either side via a bayonet mechanism to reduce handling noise and vibration. An angled plug also provides a strain-free connection, letting DJs stay focused on their performance during the most energetic live sets.

Built for Every Set.

True to beyerdynamic’s reputation for quality craftsmanship, the DJ 300 PRO X lineup is engineered for durability and longevity. Each component - from the headband to the ear pads and cable - is replaceable, aligning with the company’s sustainability philosophy. The foldable design makes storage and transport easy, and the included carrying pouch keeps the headphones safe between gigs.
