Bel Canto Premieres BLACK DAC at AXPONA!

Golden Valley, MN, April 10, 2023: Bel Canto Design, manufacturers of cutting-edge audio products since 1991, will debut the new BLACK DAC system at AXPONA, April 14-16, 2023. Bel Canto components will be demonstrated in two rooms at the show:

Room 402: The BLACK DAC system ($40,000) debuts in this room, actively demoed with the Bel Canto BLACK EX Dual Mono Amplifier ($10,500) and YG Acoustics loudspeakers from their Peaks line: the Talus ($14,200) and the Descent subwoofer, also making its premiere ($7800).

Room 464: The BLACK DAC will be on static display in this room. Bel Canto's E1X DAC ($6800) and E1X Stereo Amplifier ($6200) will be demoed with Audiovector QR7 speakers ($6500), along with power conditioner, interconnects, and cables from Cardas, and equipment support from Harmonic Resolution Systems.

"The BLACK DAC is based upon the architecture of the full BLACK system, and goes to extraordinary lengths to preserve signal integrity," said John Stronczer, Founder of Bel Canto. "The BLACK DAC consists of two discrete elements, each contained in a separate, machined aluminum chassis: the ASC2 Asynchronous Multi-input Processor/Controller is fed from a linear AC power supply, and is connected to the second chassis, the Black Dual Mono DAC, through a proprietary ST fiber-optic interface. The ST interface is immune to RFI/EMI, provides galvanic isolation, and ensures perfect signal transfer.

"The system is incredibly quiet, with 130 dB signal to noise ratio," said Stronczer. "Music appears from a dead-silent, black background, with unlimited dynamic range. The BLACK DAC system features analog outputs, ensuring compatability with a wide range of amplifiers."

The BLACK DAC system will begin shipping soon. For more information, please contact Michael McCormick, President of Bel Canto Design: [email protected].
