Visitors to this year’s AXPONA HiFi Show can get their first glimpse of an Innuos PULSAR with a prototype of the new I²S output board option, from 12-14
April, at Room 1410 of the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, Schaumburg, Illinois, USA.
The PULSAR has a modular output design which allows for a change of the output board at a later stage, and it was first developed offering a USB output based on PhoenixUSB Lite board. Now the brand has taken its expertise in the digital area one step further, making the product also compatible with DACs through I²S protocol via an HDMI Connector, allowing more direct communication with the DAC, as it replaces the USB to I²S conversion from the DAC side. Innuos will offer 8 possible I²S configurations, which can be easily done by the user for a broader DAC compatibility.
Amelia Santos, Innuos CEO and Co-founder says: “We took the expertise we are known for in terms of reclocking and optimized power supply design and applied it to the next stage in the digital audio chain, which is the USB to I²S conversion. This allows more choice in selecting the best-sounding input from different DACs.”
The new I²S output board uses ultra-precise latest-generation FemtoClock audio clocks. A high-precision 3ppb OCXO clock (as used in the PhoenixUSB Lite Reclocker board) is used to clock both the USB communication and seed to the FemtoClock PLL. The OCXO clock board is powered by the PULSARARC6/CX Regulation stage for precision and stability.
The PULSE network music player series consists of three players: PULSEmini, PULSE, and PULSAR, which are perfect for music lovers who mostly want to play music from HiFi streaming services like Qobuz, TIDAL, HIGHRESAUDIO or Deezer, or who just want another zone in their home connected to their main music server.
Innuos visitors will also be able to experience the latest innuOS 2.6 software update on the intuitive Sense app in Room 1408 at AXPONA HiFi Show. Two curated captivating experiences right next door. Room 1410 (14th floor): Audiophiles can step into the 1410 room for demos with the PULSAR and witness the performance of a meticulously crafted audiophile-grade system also featuring the Innuos PhoenixNET network switch, Lampizator Horizon DAC, Soulution 511 Stereo Amplifier and 325 Preamplifier, Rockport Technologies Atria II loudspeakers. The mains distribution will be a Stromtank SEQ-5. Transparent cables will provide connections –all hosted inside a TAOC CSR Series Rack audio rack. This year Innuos is also displaying the PULSAR with an i2S output board prototype.
Room 1408 (14th floor): Right next door, in room 1408, audiophiles and music lovers can engage with the Innuos team and get hands-on experience with the latest innuOS 2.6 update on the intuitive Sense app, exploring a vast range of products. innuOS 2.6 is a comprehensive update of Innuos in-house developed software, which works in perfect symbiosis with the Innuos Sense app, enhances the user experience with a wealth of new features, including Deezer integration, TIDAL Max support, USB drive, and multiple NAS connections, extended language support and an improved Now Playing user interface. The Innuos team will be present throughout the show, eager to answer any questions, demonstrate products, and discuss music listening needs.
