It was with Rush’s eighth studio release, 1981's “Moving Pictures,” recorded at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Quebec in October and November of 1980, that the band stretched to a new pinnacle, delivering an album widely regarded as not only their best effort but one often referred to as one of the greatest progressive/rock/metal albums of all time.
It is listed as No. 3 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s “50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time” list, behind No. 2, King Crimson’s “In the Court of the Crimson King,” and No. 1, Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon!”
