Before I get to the meat of today’s discussion, permit me to share a little history of LP cleaning so that you have some context and perspective.
Back in the 1960s, as I was first exploring and learning about the world of seven-inch, 45 RPM single and twelve-inch, 33 RPM LP playback, the cleaning and care of my records rarely extended past my trying to not overly handle my records, and keeping them sleeved when not actually on the platter.
