Aptly named “Tungsten”, this new version of Elite features a dark graphite grey finish with subtle silver particles.
Baia Mare, Romania, March 2023. The Tungsten color scheme adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to Meze’s flagship headphone model, making it the perfect choice for audiophiles who value both sound quality and style.
Antonio Meze, Founder of Meze Audio and Lead Designer, says “this color was not chosen by chance. Tungsten is an exceptionally strong and durable material, and we chose it precisely to enforce our commitment to making things that are reliable, things that last well through the years”.
This new color further elevates the highly acclaimed design of the headphone and makes it stand out from the crowd. With its highly durable matte-metallic texture, Elite Tungsten is sure to turn heads and make a statement.
NEW ANGLED ALCANTARA EARPADS AND A REDESIGNED CASE
With the launch of Elite Tungsten, the company is also introducing a new earpad option to their accessories line-up, and a completely redesigned headphone case.
“Elite Tungsten comes with our newly released angled earpads, aside from the Hybrid ear pads. Developed in-house, made of technical foam coated with Alcantara, the angled earpads help us deliver an airier sound signature, with cleaner bass and improved mid-range presence, while also providing increased wearing comfort for most ear shapes.” – Mircea Fanatan, Managing Director of Meze Audio.
The new angled earpads were first made public with the launch of Meze’s newest Art Gallery headphone, Elite Epoque. Starting March 23, the angled earpads will also be added to the original version of Elite. The company also made changes to their case design, launching a new, smaller version that’s perfect for portable use.
Elite Tungsten will be available worldwide starting March 23, retailing for $4000/ €4000/ £3749.
