SAN FRANCISCO (3/17/20) – Parasound and thousands of other businesses in seven San Francisco Bay Area counties are now subject to a 'Shelter at Home' directive that requires all "nonessential" businesses to cease operation. Today, Parasound notified its dealers and representatives that the office and warehouse are closed. However, company personnel are still on the job assisting customers via phone and email, but no physical merchandise can be sent or received.
"We sincerely regret this interruption in our business with you," wrote Parasound's president and founder, Richard Schram, in his note to dealers. "We support our governmental authorities' bold directives to slow down the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Saving lives should be a priority for everyone, and Parasound is all-in on this effort."
Parasound is not closed; only its office and warehouse. The staff have worked out protocols to handle sales orders and customer support by phone and email in preparation for the full resumption of business. However, the company will not be able to physically ship any orders, receive returns, or issue return authorizations until the end of the crisis.
Looking forward, Parasound is accepting dealer orders that will be shipped in the order they are received at the resumption of warehouse operations. The company will then process the backlog of orders as quickly as possible.
