They are an improved version of another 40 year old acclaimed SUT. However, I am thinking of purchasing the Allasso as my old SUT requires a resistor for loading cartridge specificity. I was told that the Allasso accomplishes this through the use of it's transformer windings only. Hence, the Allasso should sound better and certainly easier to use for alternative cartridges. Yeah!
