Tom, hello! I am looking forward to get a higher quality DAC like the one you described in your article. I am testing various DACs as I plan to sell them bundled with the native DSD128 live jazz and classical albums that we record. Please reply to my personal email as I would like to offer a few files for you to download from Dropbox repository. I would be interested in your views on their quality. The method used for their recording makes them especially suited for listening via headphones. In any case, perhaps we can discuss the musical merits of PCM and native DSD material for some future article as my company's aim is promotion of high quality music recordings and their adequate reproduction (weaning people off their low-res smartphones etc.). I shall look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards. sergei[at]interda[dot]com Sergei.

I've been doing lots of listening back and forth between straight PCM playback and the DSD conversion, and they both sound pretty remarkable via the NuWave DSD -- it's the best sounding DAC I've had in my system to date. And with no sample rate conversion, there are no annoying clicks. Perhaps this is something that can be addressed in the future.
