Hello Cedric,
So sorry that I just saw this. I was revisiting the article for some details I had misplaced in my noggin! I hope by now you've answered your own question. The 60 is more powerful and punchy, but it is hard for me not to love the 30.8's purity and warmth. I hope to have the opportunity to try out an XP-12 for myself soon so I can report on the whole system. Fingers crossed it will happen.
Cheers,
gary
Hi,
Sorry to jump in, but how would you compare the INT-60 to the XA30.8? (In the case I am considering, the pre for the 30.8 would be the XP-12)
Hello Ron,
I appreciate the kind words! And yes, the 60 is worth saving for. Regarding your F7 question...That is a tough one. I love the F7 too. They both have great inner resolution, and both have stellar staging. The INT has more headroom and there is a dynamic ease and drive with my speakers that may be slightly hard for the F7 to match. It probably has an edge in the bass too. Honestly, both amps are great. The INT is a bit more polished, the F7 a bit more raw emotion--and a little less forgiving. I think it might come down to speaker choice, and budget of course.. I dunno...Horses for courses...but I could live with either one and be happy!
