Fielding .... Audio tourism ... That's new.
As for the DAgostino amp and Sonus Faber Lilium speakers not being reference caliber , you've got that wrong. My guess is you have never auditioned either at sufficient length which makes your comment uninformed at best and flat out careless at worst. As for the need for me including some kind of guide for the use of the controls, I mentioned in the review there is no way to mess up the sound as one can adjust for recording or just for overall taste... There is no wrong way to go about it . As for value that is relative. In a hobby with million dollar speakers and half million dollar amps, value is a moving target and up to the purchasers needs and means.

Foong..... The console on this product is smaller than the last generation and the articulation controls are not tone controls... Other than that I agree with everything you say.

A review like this is mere audio tourism and audiophiles deserve better. I can see where the cost originates in a fine automobile, wine, and watch. For cables you need to provide some explanation regarding production costs especially when they are priced higher than many "reference" products. And if I may make a suggestion, when reviewing products such as these, your readers would appreciate the review being conducted with true reference electronics.
