It really is wonderful that analog tuners are experiencing such favor. Through my evaluation, and it’s process, all I can report on is the sound I experience in my home, and with that the Magnum Dynalab is beyond reproach (as the packaging, written manual, active personal interaction of its principals and construct), certainly in its delivery of musical presentation and a real, complete, three dimensional soundstage and with depth and clarity. I simply enjoyed listening to music, more. The other tuners that I own and used, recognized as vintage and premium at the time of manufacture are good, if not great in many aspects, but the Magnum Dynalab is better and allowed for a greater degree of music enjoyment and that of FM.

I'm surprised that you could not hear any difference between a tuner that has tubes and fully solid state one. Also you speak of big engineering progress to explain the nice sound from this unit but don't actually detail any actual specifics which could help understand such claim unless MD didn't share anything. Also if you want to really see engineering progress why not compare with the less expensive and in my opinion superior Accuphase T-1200. This is a DSP based unit and clearly "newer" technology and the specs to prove it. From what I've seen in previous MD units even their high end models isn't benchmark level. It is very nice visually and usability, care in the power supply and tubes for audio color but no particular or proprietary mastery in any key function blocks of a tuner (namely RF, IF or demodulation). You should request a review sample of the T-1200 and report back here....you may end up selling all your other tuners after that.
