It's not "part" of the loom. They are two separate products. They make a silver cable, that was reviewed. They make a similar cable, but in copper. The reviewer never states that he had the copper version on hand. Tonearm cable and phono cable are terms for the same thing. This is only the external cable outside of the arm. The internal wiring of the arm was not changed.
]]>Understood. The point of my question was, it seemed curious that the manufacturer would provide part of a turntable loom in copper and the other part in silver! That is what I was questioning.
Thanks
]]>He stated he was reviewing the silver cable, the KS1236, not the also available copper cable the 1216.
]]>Thanks for an informative and positive review of the Kimber Cable. You say that you did not review the tone arm cable, but rather then Phono cable. But at the end of your review you stated that this product will become your future reference tone arm wire. Can you clarify? Also why would the Kimber tone arm cable be in copper while the Phono cable is silver?
One last question, you stated the Kimber Cable was the equal of several other cables that you have in house. Are you referring to the 3 cables quoted at the beginning of your review and how do they compare in terms of price?
I purchased A kisiki Purpleheart based partly on your reviews and it is everything you stated. I always eagerly await your new reviews.
Thanks
Jerry
