It's a great pleasure to read your review, over and over again. For your reference, by now the "Final piece of the Puzzle" has been improved in the form of JPLAY Femto or JPLAY 7. No more MinimServer needed, DAC Link has gone up from 700Hz to 1000Hz, among other advanced features. The SQ? You have to test drive and hear it for yourself. It's working great on Windows 10, 2012, 2016 and 2019. Happy holidays!

well to respond to Dave's point, I am using a valve amp (Atmasphere S30) with JPLAY and Fidelizer - the results are superb. I use a 2 pc setup that JPLAY recommend and in my system this is a further significant improvement to a single PC System. I now feel that this digital playback system has now overtaken my Avid Acutus/SME V/Dynavextor xv1s vinyl rig !

This is a well written and descriptive account on how to determine the best quality sound from these programs.
Minimum PC interaction plus playing through RAM is the way to go.
As a Vega and Aries owner who has followed a similar path as Tom with Jplay and Fidelizer I agree entirely.
The story is still unfolding in this arena and I must mention that DAPHILE is another high performance program well worth investigating.

Yes, Fidelizer + JPlay is great combination. With Win 2012 R2 + Audiophile Optimizer still much better..

I don't think I've seen anyone with tube amplification who likes what Jplay does...
