Both the JCAT Network Card and JCAT USB Card can be powered by a 5V ultracapacitor power supply like Uptone Audio's LPS-1 or Vinnie Rossi's MINI, therefore being both off the house electrical grid and off the computer's noisy internal power supply. Either one should be a good competitor in the current audio stakes, elevating your humble desktop computer to audio heights nobody could have imagined a few years ago.
