Your obvious love and familiarity with JBL transducers is like water in the desert to the legions of admirers of this storied brand. I was hoping if you might compare these to the JBL 4429 a bit in regards to dynamics, tone and bass. Steve Guttenburg wrote that the L100 were warmer and fuller than the 4429s although smaller in scale and weaker in attack....but he also said that the s3900 were warmer than the 4429s. I believe you indicated that, if anything, the reverse was true? Price points ( as well as size as you mention) are VERY close so it seems fair to compare...
