I take it that this unit allows you to make a digital transfer of an LP (or for that matter, a 78 rpm disc) that has not had the RIAA (or other EQ) playback correction applied, so you can do the playback correction in the digital domain.

I recognize that this is a controversial point (some people prefer playback EQ in the analog domain), but, I do believe that this unit costs about half for the next most affordable such "flat" digital LP ripping solution costs.

("Flat" is in "scare quotes" because the signal off the LP is not flat; it has already had RIAA emphasis applied to the treble and RIAA cut applied to the bass.)
