They're better than ever now. I also found a vintage pair of AMT 1A's last year in Las Vegas just before Christmas that are AMAZING! I'd always wanted a pair. So I have two sets of ESS speakers and I love both. They're the best speakers I've ever heard. Ricky is amazing. He's very helpful and they do great work.

I've had this love affair with ESS speakers since I owned a pair back in the late seventies; however, life happened and I just lost track of them for a couple of decades. I actually had a telephone conversation with Ricky about five years ago regarding a review, but I guess he didn't take me seriously. I should have continued to jackhammer him with calls and emails until he caved. My loss! Love the review!
