Maybe I have hit on an alternate universe here (no political jokes necessary ;)), but the price of both models of the Headphones directly from ESS is astoundingly lower than listed in this review. In fact the UIT headphone cable will set you back more than the cans! How is that possible? Consider the last question rhetorical unless you know the answer or better yet thanks for Rick's email I'll ask him, but I might just order instead in case they are going to raise the prices....
Alas the proofreader in me never sleeps, but actually it should be congratulatory in this case as I dare not count the number of times you had to type 422H and 252 in this review but under the bold type of Efficiency Par Excellence there is a 452 in the first line.
