On behalf of VANA, the EAT USA distributor, thank you for your excellent review. We agree that this turntable has the ability to be the basis of an awesome analog system!

A few quick thoughts:
1. The current retail price with tonearm, but without a cartridge is $3000 as you noted.
2. We do offer a package that includes the tonearm and an Ortofon Quintet Black that retails for: $3500.
3. We do sell all three sizes (12", 10" and 9" ) of the C-Note Tonearm separately. They retail for $2295, $1995, and $1795 respectively.

I would have bought this if it had a hinged dust-cover. I have three cats and hate 'cake top' dust covers.
