Introducing the new Air Tight Disc Flatter to correct for warped LPs. The operation is very easy. First, lift the lever, and open the cover. The cover will be locked in a certain position. Set your warped record in the Disc Flattener, lift up the lever a little bit to unlock the cover. Close the cover carefully, and set the timer at 120 minutes. In four hours, the warped disc will become flat. Adjust the time setting in accordance with the ambient temperature. Flattening Mechanism Most records, which are made of vinyl chloride, often warp because of the storage conditions or due to humidity. The semiconductor film heater in the Disc Flattener warms the surface of a disc evenly at an appropriate temperature. The surface of the disc is pressed, but the grooves will not be damaged. Structure of the Disc Flattener The Disc Flattener has semiconductor film heaters at the bottom of the body and in the cover. The heat is transmitted into the flywheel plate, which makes it possible to heat the disc evenly. Semiconductor Film Heater This heater developed specifically for the Disc Flattener has a thickness of only 0.2 millimeters. It can self-regulate the temperatures, and its accidental error is +/- 2 degrees Celsius. Although its power consumption is 300 watts just after the power is turned on, it will drop to 70 watts after the temperature rises to the set temperature to conserve electricity.
