The box set consists of 2 discs "TAAB" and "TAAB 2" plus a hard cover book. It seems everything Steve Wilson touches turns out amazing. All the Jethro Tull albums he's remastered when compared to the originals are a definite step up in overall fidelity, soundscape/stage etc,. He's also done "Tears for Fears - Song From the Big Chair" with improved fidelity and a reduction of sibilants that are present in the original pressing. His improvements are subtle but impressive when compared to the originals. With the Jethro Tull albums he's minimized the sometimes hard left-right panning of the early recordings and fleshed things out. The only Tull album he hasn't done is "This Was" which I hope he'll get to soon. I have a remastered 2 CD set that wasn't done by Steve: CD One is an Original Mono LP (remastered) CD Two is a New Stereo Album Mix. This is interesting as I'd never heard the mono version before. This 2 CD set is an improvement on my original "This Was" vinyl especially the left-right panning and the fidelity. There's also a 2 CD set of Aqualung: CD One is a new "Stereo Mix" and CD Two are additional 1970 & 1971 recordings and some new stereo mixes which is also quite good - not a Steve Wilson remix mind you. If you haven't heard any of Steve's remasters you owe it to yourself to check them out I'm sure you'll like them.
Thank you.
