i cannot reason out why the SACD layer of the hybrid discs was not considered unless that there was not a suitable SACD capable player available. the audio track on dvd seems to be variable so i won't be able to identify the format used for audio on 'live from paris' by DK. to me, it is one of the most satisfying of all the formats for this performance, if only that the visual distracts my attention to the audio. so WHY is not sacd used in this comparison. for me, sacd give the best relaxation/satisfaction quotients of all the formats except perhaps hi-rez files played back on the best equipment. i don't do the files at home as i feel that it isn't turnkey in operation and i am not motivated to go through the learning process required to get the desired result.

No idea how you can listen to that much Diana Krall and remain reasonably objective in your opinions?
