Thank you for the thorough analysis.
Some thoughts:
The stock power cords of the pass amplifier are crap? Is Pass Laboratories known for underwhelming products?
This is the first time I read someone mentioning, that the video quality can be enhanced with better power cords. Good to hear. With video watching on two monitors one can easily compare the influence of different power cords, much more easily than to compare acoustic events.

Foley: I often think, that a comparison between hifi components should be performed with daily life acoustics. Sounds and noises are not overstrained with artistic or emotional interpretations by the listener. For amplifiers, cabels and loudspeakers it does not matter what they're transporting. Lifelike renditions must not be achieved or tested with complex music.

I'm always amazed to see the awe that current audio reviewers show to single person japanese audio enterprises, compared to the aversness to test japanese mass products from companies like onkyo, matsushita, pioneer etc. that maintained r&d departments with hundreds of skilled audio engineers.

Here in Germany it's possible to order the vinyl edition of " American Epic - The Session". At the moment I'm listening to the mp3 files from amazon unlimited and really enjoy it. Thank you for the recommendation.
