Thus far my head has been spinning with all of the different possibilities. The roads to streaming music are overwhelming. I've always been a believer in keeping it simple, which is why until I read two of your articles on the microRendu, nothing much appealed to me. I now see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you.

Can't begin to tell you how many days on end I spent at the Roon Community forum. I installed the QNAP-specific package for the NAS from Roon's website. It is what it is, I don't know about your experience, but mine is as documented. No Roon Essentials. Rob Darling and several others at Roon have replied via email to my post and made no mention of my limited functionality with the tablet.

I'm running Roon headless on a Windows based server and and Android tablet. I have absolutely ALL the functions of Roon via tablet. So either you mistakenly installed the "Roon Essentials" app and not the full Roon app on you tablet, or: a) you just haven't become familiar enough with Roon to find all the functions; or, b) the NAS version is lacking some functions that the Windows and MAC versions do have.

I'd suggest going to the Roon Community forum at roonlabs.com to find the answer.

I don't need the Windows laptop with the Roon app running to see all the features on my Android tablet.

So either you haven't figured out to run Roon on the tablet or you are running "Roon Essentials" and not the full version of the Android app. The only other possibility is that your NAS version of Roon server is lacking features and therefore some of the features don't show up in the Android remote.

The best way to find out the answer is to ask over at the Roon site, the forum.
