NEWS RELEASE 5/13/13 Marking one of the most significant product introductions in the company's history, Audience will debut its all-new WavePower mono power amplifier at T.H.E. Show: Newport in California (May 31 - June 2). The WavePower amplifier incorporates newly developed Ncore Class D technology from Hypex Electronics and a host of Audience refinements to offer a genuine breakthrough in amplifier performance.

Audience will be exhibiting at the Atrium Hotel: Orange County Airport, Irvine, CA in room 326.

The Hypex Ncore technology at the heart of the Audience WavePower represents a completely new, proprietary implementation of Class D amplifier technology to deliver greater retrieval of sonic information and extraordinary resolution, with extremely low THD, IMD, noise and output impedance. The WavePower amp also incorporates a matching Hypex switching power supply, an Audience-designed input amplifier, new Audience-exclusive AIT1 input transformers and new Audience "SE"-class custom-made XLR and RCA connectors. It delivers 650 watts into 4 ohms, 1,200 watts into 2 ohms.

"I'm tremendously excited about the WavePower and I think anyone who hears it will know it's something special."

Recipient of Greatest Bargain and Best Sound (highest value) accolades from The Absolute Sound in its 2013 Consumer Electronics Show report, the ClairAudient 1+1 is a compact speaker that delivers expansive sound. It utilizes two of Audience's A3-S full-range drivers in the front and rear along with two side-firing passive radiators in a crossoverless design, a configuration that provides an exceptionally coherent and musically natural performance. In addition, exclusive SSIT SweetSpace TM Imaging Technology enables an expanded listening area rather than the usual single listener sweet spot.

T.H.E. Show: Newport will be open to the public and will feature internationally acclaimed live concerts, fine wine, gourmet food, a classic car show and more in addition to more than 200 exhibitors.

NEWS RELEASE 5/13/13 Peachtree Audio's new Bluetooth Speaker, deepblue, is a one-box music system that produces room-filling sound and shockingly deep bass from a very small footprint. The sealed elliptical enclosure contains five custom-made speakers, including a 6.5" bass driver, two 3" mid-range drivers, and two 1" soft dome tweeters to form a true three-way speaker. The speakers are powered by a 240-watt five-channel amplifier - double the amount of power found in most wireless speakers. Featuring a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) fine-tuned by Peachtree Audio's award-winning design team, deepblue is more than your average Bluetooth speaker. It's a high-performance home audio system that sounds great in any size room, works with your favorite mobile devices, and is very simple to operate.

“The technical challenge was creating big sound out of a small box with the deep bass and output that much larger systems have - while not making it a cost-no-object product. deepblue uses the most powerful amplifier in its class and overbuilt custom speakers to produce a surprising amount of sound. People's faces light up when they hear deepblue. Our engineers exploited the laws of physics and tweaked the Digital Signal Processing to produce a level of sound quality that is unlike any other wireless speaker currently on the market.”

 - Jonathan Derda, Director of Training for Peachtree Audio

While deepblue is loaded with a lot of technology in its compact box, Peachtree Audio also focused on making it easy to use. With only three buttons on deepblue, and only 12 on the included remote, anyone can use it to its fullest capability within seconds. Bluetooth sources with AVRCP, like the iPhone, can be controlled from the remote for functions like track skip and play/pause. deepblue also features a four-step digital bass equalizer, providing adjustable bass for the best sound in any room and for any song. A 17-step volume control allows you to adjust volume to exactly where you want it, while the DSP adjusts frequency response to maintain rich and clear sound at any volume.

deepblue connects wirelessly via Bluetooth or wired with a 3.5mm stereo connection to virtually any smartphone, tablet, music player, or computer. iTunes, Pandora and Spotify are just a few of the familiar apps that are easily streamed wirelessly, thrilling anyone in ears' reach.

deepblue will be available for $399 from peachtreeaudio.com and select retailers June 2013.

NEWS RELEASE 5/13/13 Alpha Design Labs – creates innovative, smart-looking components for computer-based systems as well as personal and portable electronics. Tokyo-based ADL by Furutech™ aims high using the best materials and innovative design for an expanding line of Japanese designed precision products that includes the superbly comfortable H118 Headphones and now the X1 USB DAC/Headphone Amplifier.

The X1 has Landed! • Goes Anywhere • Stacks Easily • Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery • Digital Inputs for iDevices or Computer-Based USB • Superb Sound • A Perfect Match with ADL H118s • At Your Desk or On the Go!

Headphone listening is an intimate sonic experience and most enthusiasts use headphone amplifiers and a good pair of headphones – like ADL's H118 – to get even closer to the musical experience. Headphone amplifiers determine the quality of sound in hand with the headphones so both must be technically capable and offer fine sound as well. And in that department the X1 reigns!

The X1 is small, discrete but highly specified with inputs supporting iOS digital at up to 16/48 via APPLE MFI-certified USB cable for iPod, iPhone and iPad devices. The X1 also runs 24/192 SPDIF with high resolution files from MAC and PC via USB. There's an analog line-level 4-pin 3.5mm input and a 4-pin 3.5mm output for headphones in the 12~600 ohm range. The 4-pin input supports 3.5mm Remote and Mic Earphones. The 3.5mm TOSLINK optical output delivers SPDIF up to 24/192. There's a convenient GND TRRS switch making it easy to change from one 4-pin set of ‘phones to another. No drivers are needed with Mac computers while a single standard driver is available for Windows computers.

H118 Headphones... It's All In Your Head!
What could possibly be more intimate than listening to music through headphones? It's just you and the sound in your head. Headphones are in close sonic and physical contact with the listener and many have too much bass, or they're too bright with a thick, congealed midrange, and most of them are uncomfortable to wear and ultimately fatiguing.

Alpha Triform Contour Earcups™
Triform Earcups are specially designed for a superior seal improving bass response over other designs. The Triform Contour also reduces internal standing waves and reflections for reduced distortion. The headband flare over the earcups make the H118 supremely comfortable, an observation everyone makes before suddenly captured by the sound!

The ADL H118 is balanced in a completely audiophile way, a very Furutech way. Rich tonal colors and textures with intimate and close harmonic interplay, a sense of space and quiet backgrounds are the key. It's an involving emotional experience when you're THIS CLOSE to the music.

NEWS RELEASE 5/13/13 New Spendor D7 Now Shipping

Hear them at their North American Debut: THE Show Newport Beach

The Spendor D7 is an elegant, modern, medium-size, 2.5 way, floor-standing loudspeaker. The D7 delivers music with a fresh vibrant realism that conventional loudspeakers cannot match. This new level of performance is the direct result of important Spendor innovations.

Spendor's new Linear Pressure Zone tweeter achieves linear acoustic output across a wide frequency range, which in practice is extremely difficult. The result is perfect focus, uninhibited sound transmission and a very wide listening window.

The D7 receives a new advanced EP77 poylmer cone for superb clarity and vanishingly low coloration. The D7 low frequency drive unit has an ultra-rigid two part bonded Kevlar composite cone assembly for accurate powerful low frequency response.

The benefits of Spendor Linear Flow port technology have been well proven in the Spendor A-Line. They deliver deep articulate bass with natural timing, even in small rooms or close to a wall.

Spendor's new fifth generation Linear Flow Port incorporates an aerodynamically profiled central baffle to create a tapered twin-venturi port. The result is evenly balanced acoustic pressure eliminating port noise and spurious mid-band radiation.

Timing is fundamental to the musical experience. Spendor's unique Dynamic Damping system converts any spurious energy in the cabinet into inaudible heat. The result is a silent rigid cabinet and naturally fast engaging sound.

90dB efficiency and an easy to drive 8 ohm load ensure complete compatibility with a wide range of amplifiers and cables. With substantial power handling the D7's can play very loud without sounding compressed. At low replay levels the sound is always clear and transparent.

"A superb floorstander, one of Spendor's best boxes ever."

- HiFi Choice, April 2013, Five Star Award Winner

The D7 looks as good as it sounds. Two new premium finishes perfectly complement today's on-trend interiors. US retail price is $6,495 for standard finishes and $7,495 for premium finishes. All Spendor loudspeakers are designed and manufactured in the UK.

NEWS RELEASE 4/5/13 Abyss Headphones came about from the need for a superior way to listen to music. We have been working for nearly 5 years on our first model of headphone, with much time spent experimenting with existing diaphragm and magnet materials to ultimately decide we had to make our own.

Abyss has developed an in-house method of manufacturing an extremely low mass diaphragm with a conductive trace optimized as a unique planar magnetic transducer. The goal was to reproduce music as well as the finest two channel systems available, and we believe we have achieved that goal, and then some. In our opinion, these are the finest sounding headphones available, limited only by the quality of electronics and source.

We are excited to say Abyss Headphones will be showing the final production model AB-1266 at the New York Audio Show April 12-14, 2013 in the New York Palace Hotel.

High resolution music will play through a brand new Cavalli Audio fully balanced headphone amplifier named Liquid Gold (LAu) designed specifically for high resolution headphones with higher power requirements such as Abyss.

The Abyss AB-1266 Headphone package sells for $5495 in the USA and begins shipping in May.

The combination of Merrill Audio VERITAS Monoblocks and Sanders Sound Systems Model 10c ESL will demonstrate how detailed, musical and fast, an audio system can be. Maintaining a neutral sound, the Merrill Audio VERITAS Monoblocks and Sanders Sound Systems Model 10c ESL is a unique combination of speed, power and remaining musical. The realism so effortless played.

The VERITAS Monoblocks, based on the Hypex NCORE NC1200, are engineered to provide the most musical, detailed and fastest transients that the music will seem live while removing microphonics that to give a very precise and accurate image of the stage. The VERITAS design and components are engineered to have the most neutral sound and still be very musical, detailed and powerful.

The Model 10c Electrostatic Speakers from Sanders Sound will play at concert hall levels and can be used with multi-thousand watt amplifiers without arcing or damage. No protective circuitry is used or needed. It will reproduce the full dynamic range of any music without strain. The woofer system has been specifically designed to stop and start faster than other woofers so that perfect integration with a massless ESL finally is achieved. Electrostatic speakers are known for precision, being musical and being very fast, showing every minute detail of the music. The Model 10c will make it sound live with no effort.

NEWS RELEASE 3/17/13 With only three months to go, T.H.E. Show Newport, now in its third year, is predicting another successful event and is expecting to sell out of exhibit space early. Currently, occupancy levels are exceeding 2012 figures, and exhibit space in the Hilton is already official sold out. Exhibit space is still available at the Atrium hotel, adjacent to the Hilton, but is filling up fast.

Richard Beers, President of T.H.E. Shows Newport and Las Vegas, anticipates that 2013 will be another year of tremendous growth for the biggest West Coast Consumer Audio Show. "Bob Levi, President of the Los Angeles and Orange County Audio Society (LAOCAS), deserves a lot of credit," says Beers. "Bob is relentless in his support of T.H.E. Show, and, working together, LAOCAS and T.H.E. Show have grown at a staggering rate. T.H.E. Show will be HUGE for 2013, and the LAOCAS has gained 500 new members in the past two years, making it the largest Audio Society on the planet, as Bob would put it. The LAOCAS and T.H.E. Show make a great team—helping to promote all the virtues of the great high-end audio industry. It's all about trying to bring awareness levels to a wider and more discriminating audience, and we seem to be succeeding."

Of course, Beers also attributes the tremendous growth of T.H.E. Show Newport to the exhibitors and visitors. "Obviously, says Beers, "we couldn't do this without the great support of our exhibitors and the abundance of serious, curious high-end audio buffs. We had over 7,500 attendees last year; with increased advertising, networking, social media, and simple word-of-mouth enthusiasm, we expect to increase that number significantly."

More new and exciting events are planned for 2013! Two enormous ballrooms have been added, one dedicated to vinyl, the other to the burgeoning headphones industry. The vinyl exhibit booths will be coordinated with the help of Jim Kaplan of Record Collector magazine, which will bring in record dealers from all over Southern California. Michael Mercer, of The Daily Swarm, Positive Feedback, Enjoy The Music, HP Soundings, and more, is helping to put together exhibits of the best in high-end headphones. Mercer joins Nicoll Public Relations to provide the industry's absolute epitomes of social networking, advertising, and promotions. Also returning with more exotic delights are the Gourmet Food Trucks—many of which sold out of food last year. "And, of course, the popular Car Show will grow," says Beers. Under the guidance of Rick Reuss, of Reuss Sound Systems, the Car Show will be held in a new, more appealing, more accessible location, and will include such high-end masterpieces as the Saleen S7, Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari 458 Spyder, Bentley Mulsanne, Mercedes SLS and many, many more.

T.H.E. Show Newport is also pulling out all the stops for exhibitors, and will feature a lounge exclusively reserved for exhibitor meetings, dealers, distributors, and the press. "T.H.E. Show Newport has become a place for exhibitors to debut new, exciting lines, and we want to make sure our exhibitors see the people they need to see," says Beers. "We are making extra efforts to invite industry notables."

Music

The Atrium Hotel courtyard will offer continuous live entertainment during the day—poolside will be the place to be. In the evening there will be DJ entertainment at the Poolside Bar, and not to be missed will be the vinyl and headphone exhibits in the expanded ballroom.

"This will be a tremendous event for all audiophiles—new and old," says Beers. "With over 150 active exhibits and hundreds of exhibitors participating, this is definitely an event not to be missed."

T.H.E. Show Newport will be held at the Hilton Irvine and Atrium Hotels in Orange County, California, May 31st and June 1‑2, 2013—the weekend following the Memorial Day Holiday. Opening Day is Friday, May 31, beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2, T.H.E. Show will open at 10 a.m. Exhibits are open till 6 p.m. daily, with continuous entertainment.

NEWS RELEASE 3/17/13 Bryston, LTD (www.bryston.com) has announced the introduction of a complete line of high performance loudspeakers engineered for both music and home theater applications. The line will consist of eight models including the floorstanding Model T, Middle T and mini t along with a powered subwoofer called the T sub, two center channel offerings, an in-wall and an on-wall loudspeaker. Bryston's James Tanner has led the design initiative for the loudspeaker project, developing proprietary drivers, crossovers and enclosures while spearheading a rigorous testing regimen.

The Bryston loudspeakers were born from the challenge to construct a reference quality loudspeaker that could reproduce real world dynamics while minimizing distortion and compression. The engineering team at Bryston has devoted countless hours to innovative driver design, enclosure vibration analysis, crossover refinement, anechoic chamber measurements, and blind listening tests. The first model to reach completion, the Bryston Model T, was subjected to over 200 separate anechoic measurements during the design phase to ensure the highest level of accuracy and refinement. Bryston loudspeakers have also been engineered to reproduce the most difficult dynamic transients—to play very loud passages of music or movie soundtrack information without the distortion common to competitive products. "I think we met with a degree of skepticism when we first announced the loudspeaker project—and rightfully so. There are a lot of speaker companies already in the marketplace," reported Bryston's James Tanner. "But we set out to create an affordable reference quality loudspeaker and went to great lengths to achieve an end result that separates us from the competition—we are confident that these products will be quite well received," Tanner concluded.

The 52.5-inch tall three-way floorstanding Model T is available in three formats—the standard speaker with an internal passive crossover network, the Signature model with an external passive network that utilizes custom-made components including air-core chokes and Bryston-proprietary film capacitors, and a flagship Active version that comes with a Bryston 24-bit digital electronic crossover (instead of a passive network) enabling tri-amplification of the system. All three versions of the Model T utilize three 8-inch woofers, two 5.25-inch midranges and two 1-inch titanium dome tweeters.

The Middle T is a smaller floorstanding three-way loudspeaker utilizing two bass drivers, a midrange and a tweeter. The mini t is a smaller version of the Middle T using a single bass driver also in a three-way configuration. Both the TC1 and TC1 mini are three-way speakers providing center channel options of different sizes. The T Sub utilizes three 8-inch woofers powered by an internal 600-watt amplifier. Both architectural models—the T IW and the T OW are three-way sealed enclosure designs. Bryston loudspeakers come in three high-tech vinyl-wrapped standard finishes—Black Ash, Natural Cherry, and Boston Cherry. Optional hardwood veneers.

NEWS RELEASE 3/17/13 SVS, a worldwide leader in high performance home audio products, proudly announces availability of the Ultra Bookshelf Speakers. Handsomely styled with a swept back profile and striking edge treatments, the Ultra Bookshelf draws design cues from the flagship Ultra Tower speaker with sonic-enhancing wedge-shaped front baffle and flush-mounted drivers, proprietary SVS drivers and the intelligent SoundMatch Crossover Network.

When engineering the Ultra Bookshelf speaker's design, SVS envisioned a two-way monitor that would fill small to medium-sized rooms with an encompassing, coherent soundstage; deep, dynamic bass; and sparkling mid and high-frequency details, whether they were being pushed to extreme volumes or played at moderate levels. A combination of premium build materials, FEA optimization, cabinet innovation and careful selection of crossover frequencies brought this vision to life.

For low to midrange-frequency performance, the Ultra Bookshelf features a hefty 6.5-inch composite glass-fiber cone woofer which produces an excellent stiffness to mass ratio for high sensitivity and maintains pistonic behavior well beyond the pass-band of the driver. The Ultra Bookshelves are also equipped with SVS' SoundMatch two-way crossover network. Premium-grade capacitors, air-core inductors and heavy-trace printed circuit boards work in harmony to ensure pure signal transmission and radiation of total sound power to a generous sweet spot.

"Listening with eyes closed, it's easy to convince yourself the sound produced by the Ultra Bookshelf is coming from a speaker twice the size and price," said Gary Yacoubian, SVS president and managing partner. "$1,000 gets you a pretty phenomenal audio experience and from a value perspective, these are already being discussed as among the most highly-regarded two-way monitors on the market."

The Ultra Bookshelf speakers weigh 19 lbs. each and are available in premium-grade piano gloss black and real black oak veneer finishes with a rated bandwidth of 45 Hz - 32kHz (+/- 3 dB). SVS sells online, direct to the end user, and via select retailers. Pricing for the SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers is $499 each.

Since audio tastes are as distinct as musical tastes, SVS offers a risk-free 45-day in-home trial as part of its SVS Customer Bill of Rights, with free shipping both ways whether purchased online or at retail. Sampling in the home is ideal because assessments can be made based on the unique sound identity of a listening room, not a noisy and distracting showroom environment.

NEWS RELEASE 3/17/13 For a decade now Morel's Octave line has been a class leader in the high performance mini monitor speaker category. Now the new Octave 6 takes it to the next level, inspired by the company's reference speaker, the fat lady. Following Morel's latest design principles, the Octave 6 has been transformed completely both visually and technically to recreate the excitement of live music whilst preserving tonal accuracy and dynamics, thus elevating the status of integrated floor-standing and bookshelf speakers.

The new aesthetic for the Octave 6 is the embodiment of Morel's uncompromising attention to detail and creativity, all in the service of phenomenal sound. The new gently curved MDF cabinet architecture maintains key existing attributes but with an up-to-date modern look. It is painted and hand-polished with six layers of lacquer, to a high-gloss piano finish, and complemented by the near acoustically transparent and stylish Lotus grilles*.

"Our R&D team set their goals high, developing side by side both the cabinet and drivers to create a speaker that could integrate in the living space, enabling listeners outside the centre 'sweet spot' to also enjoy the performance," explained Morel's Executive Vice President, Oren Mordechai.

For the Octave 6 Morel's engineers took on a serious and simultaneous design process wherein the drivers were developed alongside the enclosures to meet very specific objectives, as opposed to simply trying to force components to work together. Like the innovative cabinet concept used in the fat lady, and similar to musical instruments, the Octave 6 is void of internal damping materials. Through the course of exacting research, Morel found the solution to avoid a boxy sound: a new vertical baffle with acoustic apertures placed within the enclosure to break up standing waves. This allows the cabinet to vibrate along with the drivers output in a highly controlled manner, resulting in a remarkably transparent speaker performance and natural open sound.

"The special transducers engineered for the Octave 6 are the heart and soul of the new series. Based on Morel's most advanced technology, the new mid-bass unit employs an oversized 3-inch aluminum voice coil over a titanium base, encapsulating our powerful Hybrid motor, while the tweeter features the company's renowned 1.1" Acuflex soft dome. Borrowed from our reference loudspeaker, the fat lady, the innovative crossover topology preserves the life and dynamics of the original sound like in a live performance," said Mr. Mordehcai.

In addition, the new Octave 6 series was also designed to be "amplifier friendly" so it is able to work with tube as well as solid-state amps.

As with any speaker, the real test is in the listening. Expect new insights within familiar recordings; don't be surprised to find listening sessions lasting longer as the desire to hear "just one more track" proves irresistible.

NEWS RELEASE 3/17/13 Audio-Technica U.S. mourns the passing of company founder and executive emeritus of Audio-Technica Corporation, Hideo Matsushita, on March 5, 2013. Hideo Matsushita passed away of natural causes at the age of 93. In accordance with his family's wishes, a private wake and funeral service were held on March 8 and 9.

Phil Cajka, Audio-Technica U.S. President and CEO stated, "Hideo Matsushita was a wonderful person and a true visionary, laying the foundation for Audio-Technica to grow over the past 50 years. He exemplified true leadership, with commitment to and passion for music and an unmatched work ethic. His loss is felt not only by everyone in the A-T family, but also by the entire music industry."

On the eve of A-T's 40th anniversary in 2002, Hideo Matsushita reflected on the company's early beginnings: "How it all started: I came to Tokyo at age 32, and, thanks to an introduction by my uncle, went to work for the Bridgestone Museum of Art. At the urging of the museum's director, I began organizing LP concerts. These were much more successful than anyone imagined. After a decade at the Bridgestone Museum, I struck out on my own and established Audio-Technica in 1962."

He continued, "The company immediately launched its first product, the AT-1 Stereo Cartridge. At that time, we were headquartered in a rented one-story barracks in Shinjuku. We started out with three employees, but quickly grew to 20. We worked late each night, stopping only for dinner at the ramen shop in front of the premises."

Decades of successful growth followed, and in 1993 Hideo Matsushita took the position of Chairman, and his son, Kazuo Matsushita, became President of Audio-Technica Corporation, a position he still holds today. With their combined leadership, Audio-Technica has continued to experience steady growth, carrying on the legacy and vision of Hideo-san into the new millennium.

NEWS RELEASE 3/7/13 Walker Audio, one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-end audio products, introduces the new Proscenium Black Diamond V turntable.

The Proscenium Black Diamond V (PBD V) features improvements to the air supply, record clamp and motor base assembly…and the company's newest discovery! A specially-treated, fine-grained crystalline material, that reduces static build-up and cancels the effect of virtually all EMI, RFI and microwaves, is employed at strategic locations in the turntable's operation. This dramatically reduces the noise floor and prevents distortion from ambient electrical noise being introduced into a system's electronic components.

The PBD V turntable is friction-free due to the air-bearing arm and platter, resonance-free due to its adjustable air suspension, electrical-noise-free due to the PBD V upgrades and the linear-tracking arm plays records exactly the way they're made, eliminating tracking errors.

The result is the most accurate, realistic-sounding turntable ever made. The sound is amazing with the blackest of black backgrounds, transparency is crystal-clear, dynamics are explosive, soundstaging is expansive and the bass is profound. Many considered the previous PBD turntable to be the best turntable in the world, but the new Proscenium Black Diamond V is an uncompromised work of audio art that has to be experienced to be believed.

"Most people don't realize the amount of music that can be found in the grooves of an LP," says president Lloyd Walker. "It is our goal to extract every detail, every nuance of the music from the LP and reproduce it with realism and clarity that captures the passion of the performance. Nothing can do that like a well-recorded LP and no turntable can do it better than this one. Analog playback is still superior to every other technology, and with this turntable it has taken a quantum leap forward. Music lovers owe it to themselves to hear the PBD V."

Walker Audio has received more than 85 industry awards for its audio and video components and accessories. All previously-purchased Walker Proscenium turntables can be upgraded to the Black Diamond V specs. The Proscenium Black Diamond V turntable is priced at $105,000.00 USD.

NEWS RELEASE 3/4/13 WA-Quantum GMBH to debut in North America at THE SHOW - Las Vegas (Flamingo Hotel - Red Rock Ballroom).

WA-Quantum GMBH is a manufacturer of high technology products including a line of "Chips" operating at a subatomic Quantum level, which improve the efficiency of current flow and signal transmission in audio devices including fuses, capacitors, phono cartridges and tonearms, transformers, transducers, and audio cabling.

Special chips are also available for use with both electronic and acoustic musical instruments.

In each case the Chip is mounted on an adhesive backing which can be attached to the device. The Chips are "programmed" for their specified applications.

The importance of Quantum Theory has increasingly found acceptance in high performance audio. Because these are in fact theories, rather than facts, about the behavior of subatomic particles and the energy inside the atom, while "cause" and "effect" can be identified (in other words if you do this, the sonic result is that), the mechanism that causes this result can at this point only be theorized.

But in high end audio hearing is believing, and WA-Quantum will stand behind the results that will be achieved by using their chips with a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee for end users.

Note: these are affordable upgrades with prices beginning at less than $10 for the "quantum chip" needed to upgrade any component fuse.

WA-Quantum is distributed worldwide by HiFi-Tuning of Berlin, Germany, and in North America by Ultra Systems, Inc.

"In conjunction with Cary Audio, we felt that this particular manufacturer-direct line would be a good fit to sell to the Audiogon community," explained Audiogon CEO Steve Clay. "Our goal for 2013 is to help support the industry by driving consumer enthusiasm and sales for both manufacturers and dealers throughout our marketplace and readership. "We understand that supporting our members, manufacturers and dealers are key components to increasing the visibility of the high performance audio industry," Clay added.

"THIEL's board of directors and ownership group felt that a full time national sales manager would be one of the best investments we could make for the company at this time," stated THIEL CEO Bill Thomas. We feel very fortunate to have someone with Stephen DeFuria's experience joining THIEL to lead our domestic sales initiative moving forward," Thomas added.

NEWS RELEASE 2/18/13 Krell Industries, LLC, the leader in high performance audio and home theater systems are excited to announce that worldwide shipment of S-550i Integrated Amplifiers will begin this week. Building on the success of the award winning S-300i integrated amplifier, the S-550i Integrated Amplifier boasts the sound quality and power output capable of driving any loudspeaker to its maximum performance.

Delivering 275 watts of output, the S-550i Integrated Amplifier is a robust power source for any speaker and only occupies a fraction of the space typically required for a system delivering this performance. The S-550i Integrated Amplifier is outfitted with balanced and single-ended inputs, iPod dock, and Theater Throughput™ mode. Developed by Krell, Theater Throughput™ simplifies integration into home theater systems. For custom integration applications, 12 Volt triggers, RS-232 connectivity and rack mount ears are included. Operational parameters can be customized via the menu system that is accessible from the front panel or the included brushed Aluminum remote control.

Preamplifier Highlights
The preamplifier section features circuit concepts from Krell's flagship Phantom preamp. Krell Current Mode provides unequaled bandwidth for the most revealing playback of today's high-resolution music sources. Direct coupled circuitry eliminates impact-robbing capacitors from the signal path and an elegant, custom-machined level control adjusts volume. Discrete circuitry, in a balanced topology, is afforded its own power supply regulation. All signal gain is realized using surface mount technology featuring proprietary current mirrors with nearly 500 times the open loop linearity of other designs. Negative feedback is not used anywhere in the preamplifier, nor is it necessary. Open-loop distortion is typically less than 0.003%. The volume control is realized with a balanced resistor ladder - bandwidth and transient response of the preamp circuitry are virtually unaffected by the volume setting.

Power Amplifier Highlights
The S-550i packs a massive 1,750 watt transformer and 68,000?F of capacitance into an elegant 5" high chassis. This power supply feeds classic Krell circuitry throughout the topology using only discrete circuitry. As with all Krell amplifiers, the S-550i design is an ideal voltage source. That is, the S-550i doubles its power output when a speaker's impedance is halved. For the S-550i, the results are 275 watts into 8 Ohms and 550 watts into 4 ohms both channels driven. This capability is essential for realistic reproduction of a recording's dynamic content. Most amplifiers can't deliver this power doubling, leaving music sounding compressed and lifeless.

The S-550i Integrated Amplifier retails for $5,000 and is available now in silver and black finishes.

NEWS RELEASE 1/10/13 Red Wine Audio Relaunches Complete Line of Hi-fi Components

Red Wine Audio, manufacturer of battery-powered purist hi-fi products, begins shipping their newly revamped product line. This new lineup increases the company's value proposition for delivering reference-level sound at cost-effective price points.

A fresh new look

Renaissance Edition product enclosures fuse traditional with modern design elements and feature hand-finished maple, cherry, or walnut solid-wood front & side panels, resulting in a timeless and organic look.

"We've always received excellent feedback for how our products sound. But often a glowing review or even an industry award has been accompanied by a comment about product styling," says Vinnie Rossi, Owner of Red Wine Audio. Adding, "…yes, it's clean looking and functional, but understated black enclosures don't top everyone list for style."

The Renaissance Editions are anything but plain. "With the revamp, our goal was to create products customers will find beautiful, to both their ears and their eyes," says Rossi.

Improved sound

Almost all internal circuit boards have been redesigned for the Renaissance Edition release. That includes the Tube Stage, SMART board, amplifier stage for the company's popular Signature 15, plus others. The company has even updated Isabella, their flagship preamp, to use the highly regarded 6H30 "super tubes".

"In terms of changes to each product, the details can be found on our website. The takeaway is that every component in our line sounds better under the Renaissance Edition nameplate, and that says a lot," adds Rossi.

Expanded options

With the new lineup, customers gain flexibility on two fronts…

First, every component with a tube stage now affords customers the choice of two families of tubes (6922 and 12AX7) — giving customers more 'tube-rolling' options to season the sound to taste.

And the biggie: "We worked long and hard in the redesign to provide additional options for customers to integrate multiple component modules in a single enclosure," says Rossi.

As an example, the revised Signature 15 Integrated (now called Signature 16) can be ordered with optional headphone support, with the same single-ended headphone stage found in any of Red Wine Audio's Renaissance Edition headphone amplifiers.

"This is a great option for anyone into reference headphones. One box — supporting both speakers and headphones — all running on pure LiFePO4 battery power," says Rossi. Adding, "…this makes for a great value!"

Pricing and availability

Shipping for most components begins this week. The same applies to customer upgrades. Complete details for pricing and product availability can be found at redwineaudio.com, or by contacting the company. Lead-times are subject to backorder based on customer demand.

NEWS RELEASE 12/18/12 Class D has never been this good. Come to think of it, neither has class A.

The Mola-Mola Power amplifier is based on the world's most sought after class D technology: Ncore. Designed by Bruno Putzeys, this circuit packs 20 years of design experience and research into non-linear control theory. Its audio performance runs rings around linear amplifiers of any description. Lower distortion, lower noise and lower output impedance combine into what scores of enthusiastic users unanimously describe as "no sonic signature at all". Just music, glorious music.

The days of compromising power efficiency for audio performance are finally over: the Mola-Mola power amplifier deliver definitive audio performance with power efficiency thrown in as a bonus.

The Mola-Mola Preamplifier is modern analogue design at its best.

Five inputs are switchable between XLR (AES48 compliant!) and RCA connection, and all can be internally routed through optional processors such a an MC stage. The sixth input is reserved for the optional DAC board.

Internal operation uses a little known strategy called "single-ended drive differential". Rather than merely doubling up the signal path, this eliminates common-mode noise at every stage in the circuit. Used with good quality balanced interconnects, this structure insures a high degree of immunity to things like mains quality and cabling.

All stages in the Mola-Mola Preamplifier use discrete amplifier modules.

The potentiometer is arranged to control the gain of the output stage directly. This arrangement has lower distortion than a relay-based attenuator followed by a buffer stage.

Optional phono stages can be added that feature adjustable impedance load, gain, EQ, mono / stereo & phase from the convenience of your iPad.

A detailed approach to innovative DAC design.

The critical ingredients of a DAC are well known: the current reference, the I/V stage, the reconstruction filter and the clock. For the Mola-Mola DAC, all four were redesigned from the ground up. The variable bandwidth PLL achieves immediate lock but then gradually reduces loop bandwidth down to the microhertz region. After a minute of operation, jitter rejection is for all intents and purposes absolute. The crystal oscillator is a class A Pierce circuit with gain feedback. This eliminates phase modulation of the oscillation frequency by amplifier noise and insures that phase noise is solely determined by the crystal. The I/V converter and filter are, uniquely, rolled into one circuit which has better performance than either function alone. The current reference is a discrete, LED-biased regulator that replaces the on-chip voltage reference. The on-board DAC will deliver state of the art performance not only with PCM up to 24/192 but also with DSD and double DSD signals. Bruno's digital designs at Grimm Audio are extremely well thought of in the professional arena.

NEWS RELEASE 12/18/12 Bryston LTD (www.bryston.com), builders of the world's finest audio electronics and celebrating 50 years in 2012, has announced the introduction of the BP17, a state-of-the-art analog/digital stereo preamplifier derived from the preamp portion of the B-135 integrated amplifier. Basing a component preamplifier design on existing architecture enables Bryston to deliver unusually high performance and legendary build quality at an affordable price. The BP17 will be available in December, 2012 with an MSRP of $3550.

The BP17 employs Bryston's most advanced analog circuitry, power supply design and isolation techniques, providing audio aficionados with an ultimate performance preamplifier that delivers outstanding sonic performance. Much of the technology in the BP17 required over two years in engineering and development resulting in major advances to the analog circuitry derived from the company's SP-3 processor platform.

The BP17 utilizes a software controlled motorized analog volume dial and integrated balance control, enabling the preamp to be operated remotely while still adhering to fully discrete analog circuits, delivering perfect channel balance and near zero noise or distortion levels.

"We have reduced Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) levels in the BP17 by utilizing buffer amplifiers optimized for wide open-loop bandwidth and low open-loop THD," explained Bryston CEO Chris Russell. "These carefully selected components essentially eliminate the increase in THD with rise in frequency exhibited by almost all op-amps, giving the BP17 phenomenal detail and complete lack of grain in the sound field," Russell added. "The BP17 also features a brand new balanced action volume control, eliminating another source of distortion while maintaining channel-to-channel tracking within 1/10dB over the full range of control," Russell concluded.

The Bryston BP17 can be ordered in four configurations—in its standard form, with an optional moving magnet phono stage, with a high resolution internal DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) or fully loaded with both the DAC and phono stage. The BP17 includes provisions for 6 stereo RCA inputs (4 with DAC option), 1 stereo RCA output, 1 stereo tape loop and a headphone output. NEWS RELEASE 12/8/12 Daber Audio is proud to introduce it's new Daber Audio Monitor 2.

Sticking to owner Stephen Brown's original company vision of offering exceptionally high value to price ratio, the Daber Audio Monitor 2 was designed with one goal in mind - to be the highest performance 2 way monitor on the market under $1,000. "After a year of testing various components, I was approached by a driver manufacturer about a new made-in-America ceramic dome tweeter.

The gentleman had shown me the data

on the driver. It seemed too good to be true at the price point. I asked him to send me a sample. The samples tested better than the data he had shown me." said Brown.

From that point forward, all previous designs for the Monitor 2 were scrapped. After 8 months of testing and tweaking, the Monitor 2 is now in full production. The cabinets are solid MDF with Cherry or Maple veneer, or Piano Black lacquer finishes. The cabinets are rear ported with fluted ports to virtually eliminate turbulence.

The 6 1/2 inch woofer has a powerful motor system coupled to a finite element analysis-designed suspension system, containing a linear spider design and rubber surround. The motor incorporates an aluminum shorting ring that reduces coil inductance, extending frequency response performance and reducing second harmonic distortion. A cast aluminum basket provides high structural rigidity, heat-sinking capacity for the motor, and additional ventilation under the spider that in combination with a vented cone neck reduces air compression effects.

The hand assembled, made-in-the-USA 26mm tweeter is made of high purity, molded AI203 Alumina ceramic material and features a high flux double magnet design, an underhung voicecoil with 1mm of linear excursion, pure sterling silver binding posts, and frequency response to beyond 24khz. Each pair of drivers is matched to -/+ .75 db.

In addition to using very high quality drivers, the internal parts are on par as well. Binding posts are heavy duty, high current five way posts. Internal point to point wiring is comprised of 99.999% oxygen free copper.

"I am confident that at no other point in time, has a speaker ever been introduced to the market at this price point that uses components of this caliber, or that performs at this level. We have achieved the design goal, and that was simply to offer a product that nearly any audiophile, from a seasoned veteran to a newcomer, will enjoy. Most importantly, it's a product the newcomer can afford and get many years of enjoyment from. We are very proud to introduce this new speaker"

Dimensions: 14"h x 8.5"w x 12"deep, 22 pounds

Frequency Response: 38hz - 24khz, (within 3db)

NEWS RELEASE 12/8/12 Audiophile's Dream: First Power Supply Ever To Use Today's Best Capacitors Receives U.S. Patent. RHB Sound Dezign's power supply gives audiophiles improved dynamics, speed, soundstage and more.

GreenForce™, the first music signal power supply in the world that can be built using only Teflon film capacitors, has been patented by Bob Backert of RHB Sound Dezign, an electronics modification firm serving audiophiles around the world. Mr. Backert's power supply is used primarily in RHB's preamplifier modifications, also referred to as preamp mods. It is the first major advance in linear power supply design since the 1930s.

Bob Backert has been modifying and improving amplifiers for decades. His tubed amplifier designs are all hand-built, and never use negative feedback. "For me, it's all about live music," said Mr. Backert. "When you walk into a restaurant or club, you can tell right away if the music is recorded, or live. I wanted a power supply that would deliver the same speed, accuracy and powerful dynamics as live music, so it would be much harder to tell if the music were recorded. GreenForce is the realization of that dream."

Why are capacitors important to music?

Your home's wall outlet provides AC power, but your preamplifier requires DC to operate, which is generated by its power supply. Specifically, your preamplifier receives DC power from a part in the power supply called a capacitor. A capacitor looks, and functions, like a battery.

A poor-quality capacitor will not deliver power to your preamplifier exactly as required by your music. For example, loud drum hits and bass pulses require more power than soft violins and flutes. All music requires very specific, exact power delivery to sound live. Inaccurate power impairs the tone and dynamics, and smears the timing, the "feel," of your music.

What are the best capacitors?

The best category of capacitors is "film and foil". Some of the best film and foil capacitors use polypropylene film. Many believe that the very best capacitors are those made with Teflon film.

So, the best preamplifiers have the best capacitors in their power supplies. Right?

Wrong. Surprisingly, not a single preamplifier in the world has all Teflon-film capacitors in its music signal-producing power supply. Until now, with GreenForce™.

Even more surprisingly, many preamplifiers, even the most expensive, use a fairly low-quality type of capacitor. These, called "electrolytic" capacitors, do not respond accurately and exactly to the power demands of your music. They age over time, further impairing sound quality. And they sometimes burst open, leaking destructive chemicals onto your preamplifier's circuitry. Film and foil capacitors have none of these problems.

Why aren't the best capacitors used in the power supplies of the best preamplifiers?

Like a flashlight using "D" batteries that won't work with "AAA", the power supplies in today's preamplifiers simply require more power than a Teflon film capacitor can deliver. For example, a linear power supply that produces music signal might require capacitors with 50 uF (a tubed preamp) or 5,000 uF (a solid-state preamp). But Teflon film capacitors are much smaller. The largest size made by the popular V-Cap brand is 3.3 uF. Just one of these retails for $699.99. Clearly, it is not practical to use Teflon film capacitors to meet a 50 uF or 5,000 uF power supply requirement.

How does GreenForce™ power my preamplifier using only the best capacitors?

The patented GreenForce™ power supply requires only about 0.5 uF in a tubed preamplifier. This makes either Teflon or polypropylene film capacitors easily affordable. In a solid-state preamplifer, GreenForce requires only about 10 uF, which allows the use of high-quality polypropylene capacitors, a significant upgrade over the stock electrolytics.

How does GreenForce™ sound? What does it cost?

The GreenForce™ power supply gives your preamplifier improved dynamics, and noticeably better, more swinging rhythm. Bass has faster attack, soundstage expands, and music becomes more tonally accurate. Orchestras and bands sound more cohesive, while solo instruments and vocals become more immediate, compelling, and "right there."

RHB Sound Dezign can install the GreenForce™ power supply for less than $1,000 in most preamplifiers, phono preamps, some sources such as CD players, and some power amplifiers.

NEWS RELEASE 11/21/12 Krell Industries, LLC, the leader in high performance music and home theater systems today announced that the 2014 Acura RLX will be the first-ever automobile to offer a premium audio system produced in collaboration with Krell Industries. After decades of satisfying home audio enthusiasts with the most accurate, three-dimensional, and dynamic sound available, Krell Industries was able to replicate the same high-end performance in the luxurious interior of the 2014 Acura RLX.

Each component of the premium audio system has been designed to surpass any car audio solution on the market today. To insure that the system had the power and range to meet the demanding needs of the automotive environment, Acura embraced Krell Industries' philosophy of musical detail, three-dimensional sound presentation and extreme volume capability.

"We've been in business for more than 30 years; we're well known for making the highest-performance audio products for the home and we are excited to bring our sound quality to the automotive environment." says Krell Industries President Bill McKiegan. McKiegan adds, "Every aspect of the system's design was dissected and optimized to achieve a system that is sonically breathtaking."

The system's most important main amplifier channels feature the same robust, high quality bipolar power transistors used in flagship Krell home amplifiers. The result is an amplifier that has 1/3 less distortion than a leading competitor's flagship luxury car amplifier and power and headroom to meet the obstacles that the road will throw in its way.

The system's tweeters are composed of lightweight magnesium cones that create extraordinary musical detail and extended high frequencies without any trace of harshness. The speakers employ metal grilles that are inherently stronger than the plastics used for most car audio systems. With this strength, the grille can have more open area without compromising its integrity or sound performance. Metal grilles also vibrate less than typical plastic grilles, and this combination yields a grille that is as close as possible to nothing at all.

Even more impressive are the system's six mid bass drivers that are made from Zylon - the world's strongest super fiber. This very rigid material is perfect for speaker manufacturing. Zylon responds very quickly to a musical input but more importantly than that; it stops moving when the musical signal stops. Polypropylene cones, which are used in the vast majority of car audio speakers, continue moving well after the music stops. With less unwanted vibration, the sound quality is much cleaner and more detailed with Zylon based speakers.

Rounding out the speaker complement is a potent carbon fiber composite subwoofer. The dedicated 100 Watt subwoofer amplifier insures that low frequency music is reproduced cleanly and with substantial impact.

The 2014 Acura RLX features a new premium audio system that's been developed by Acura in conjunction with Krell Industries. The new Krell Audio system delivers a musical experience full of rich detail, three-dimensional imaging and striking dynamics. This system sets the bar for performance audio in the automotive world," said Jeff Conrad, Vice President and General Manager of Acura Sales.

The 2014 Acura RLX will be on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show <http://www.laautoshow.com/> , November 28 – December 9, 2012, held annually at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Car enthusiasts and audio lovers unfamiliar with Krell Industries' high-end home audio systems will be able to experience the powerful sounds of a Krell Industries car audio system for the very first time.

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 Channel D, developers of the innovative Pure Vinyl™ and Pure Music® audio software for Apple Macintosh computers and the creator of the Seta® Ultra Wide Bandwidth Balanced Flat Phono Preamplifier will introduce their new Seta Plus Phono Preamplifer and Seta DAC Buffer products at the 2012 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, October 12-14, in Exhibit Room 482.

The new Seta Plus Phono Preamplifier represents the continued evolution of Channel D's ground-breaking ultra wide bandwidth Seta "flat" phono preamplifier. The Seta Plus includes an updated, ultra low impedance, low noise rechargeable internal AGM battery power supply based on the original Seta phono preamplifier design, delivering superb transparency, detail and three-dimensionality for vinyl playback, a key benefit of the Seta's ultra wide bandwidth battery powered design.

The new Seta DAC Buffer solves a critical problem with today's Computer Audio that occurs when driving power amplifiers directly with the output of a DAC: setting the proper system gain structure. The Seta DAC Buffer provides a sonically transparent, analog way of adjusting the attenuation of any DAC's output (in 6 dB steps from -6 to -30 dB), permitting using the DAC or computer playback software's digital volume control in its optimum sweet spot (-10 to 0 dBFS).

Unlike passive signal attenuators which would be used for a similar purpose, the high (2 megohm) input impedance of the DAC Buffer insures that electronic loading of the DAC's output is kept to a minimum, while providing a sonically transparent, ultra wide bandwidth (DC - 12 MHz, -3 dB) and low (20 ohms) output impedance for driving any power amplifier load or long interconnect run without adding noise or distortion. The net effect is one of stunningly deeper, more well controlled bass with greater impact plus lower listening fatigue and improved ease of presentation over the entire audio frequency range.

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 Channel D, developers of innovative audio software solutions for Apple Macintosh computers will be demonstrating for the first time major new updates to their award winning Pure Vinyl™ software for making high resolution digital transfers of analog sources and Pure Music® digital music player software at the 2012 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, October 12-14, in Exhibit Room 482.

Pure Vinyl 3.1 represents a significant update including performance and usability enhancements including new easy to use Jog and Insert Track controls for editing and splitting LP recordings into individual tracks.

Pure Music 1.9 includes over two dozen performance enhancements and new features.

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 Fried Products Corporation announced today that Salk Sound has been selected to design and build a new line of high fidelity loudspeakers based on Bud Fried's legendary work. Salk Sound now holds exclusive licenses to both the Fried and IMF brands first established by Fried.

Irving M. "Bud" Fried was a true pioneer during the golden age of high fidelity audio, creating several speaker designs that are now common place. During a time when most loudspeakers had a traditional paper cone or horn–loaded tweeter, Fried's designs favored a soft dome direct radiator. His IMF products championed the difficult to implement and costly to execute transmission line approach. He also brought to market the first example of what is now called a satellite/subwoofer speaker system and the first integrated speaker with individual sub–enclosures optimized for each driver. Among his other insights was the establishment of the distinctive Quad electrostatic and Lowther high efficiency loudspeaker brands in the United States.

Pontiac Michigan–based Salk Sound, known for their very high quality designs, no holds barred customization, and exceptional craftsmanship, were identified by Fried Products as the perfect fit to carry on Bud Fried's legacy. Jim Salk, founder of Salk Sound, felt that the engineering insight and innovation Fried brought to bear on the home hi–fi space was due for some renewed respect and forward movement. "At Salk, we're very meticulous about all aspects of our designs, from the electromechanical and acoustical engineering, to the fit, finish and aesthetics of our cabinetry. Irving Fried was an innovative and outspoken pioneer, and we look forward to reintroducing his important concepts to today's new wave of budget–conscious audiophiles."

One of the engineering aspects that Salk and Fried designs share is an appreciation for particular, high performance transducers from Denmark. "For many years, we at Hiquphon had a close, personal working relationship with Bud Fried," said Oskar Wroending, manager, owner and sole proprietor of Hiquphon. "We are very excited about the rebirth of Fried Products and look forward to providing our cutting edge tweeter technology in the new Fried designs."

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 Neo-Morpheus was developed from the old Morpheus cable paradigm as a forced-evolution due to the advancement of another design that was intended to be less expensive. As it turned out, this design - FireFly - came so close to the performance of the original Morpheus that it threatened to obviate the appeal of Morpheus altogether. We therefore set about the task of increasing the performance of Morpheus while trying not to increase the price terribly much.

The approach yielded the creation of additional interstitial layers of shielding and AERON™ insulation, and (in the case of the interconnects) the design of a fresh RCA connector that draws its technology-advantages from Chris Sommovigo's Xhadow RCA designs, but without the enormous expense of those exotic connectors. The result is a substantially improved product for an extraordinarily low price that maintains its Giant-Slayer status and stands toe-to-toe with some of the most expensive, exotic high-performance cables in the world.

Neo-Morpheus Interconnects: $195.00 up to 1.0m pair, + $40 per each additional 1/2m pair

Neo-Morpheus Speaker Cable: $235.00 for 1.5m pair (minimum) + $40 per each additional 1/2m pair

Available: 20 - October- 2012

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 Bowers & Wilkins launches Panorama 2

Panorama 2 offers a dramatically improved acoustic performance over the original Panorama. It's simple to connect and operate with HDMI, a new proximity-sensing control panel and an enhanced user interface. Panorama 2 offers the same great design and premium build quality as the original, and is a true one-box, surround sound home cinema solution

As televisions get thinner, so does the sound they produce. Great images have come at the cost of good sound. Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 2 redresses the balance in favor of sound. A discreet, high-performance soundbar that dramatically boosts the audio performance of your viewing, without the need to fill your living room with speakers, Panorama 2 significantly improves on the class-leading audio performance of the original Bowers & Wilkins Panorama, as well as adding new features and enhanced connectivity.

Panorama 2 is the result of intensive research by Bowers & Wilkins renowned engineering team at its UK Research and Development division in Steyning, West Sussex. It includes technologies originally developed for high-end speakers such as the 800 Series Diamond, and uses them to bring a new level of performance to soundbars.

Panorama 2 features completely new Bowers & Wilkins engineered drive units, which deliver a dramatically enhanced acoustic performance. The new low frequency drivers have improved linearity for greater dynamic performance and lower resonance for deeper extension. The midrange drive units have wider dispersion characteristics, which helps to improve the virtual surround performance. The tweeter has been improved, too, for smoother integration with the midrange. The overall result is significantly improved acoustics on a product that already set the standard for audio performance from a soundbar.

The vast majority of sound from even the most effect-heavy movie soundtrack is delivered through the centre speaker in a surround sound system, and Bowers & Wilkins has worked hard to get this aspect of the Panorama 2 right. Of the nine drive units housed within Panorama 2's sleek and rigid casework, five are utilized in the active centre speaker: two bass woofers, two midrange drivers and an aluminum dome tweeter featuring Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus™ tube-loaded technology.

The other four drive units provide the rest of the sound, and each one is located within its own enclosure to maintain a purity of performance. All the drive units are powered by six class D amplifiers, providing a combined power output of 175Watts.

This combination of bespoke drive unit technology, the latest in digital amplification and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) allows Panorama 2 to not only boost the quality of your TV to unprecedented levels, it also provides users with an immersive surround performance from a single speaker. The wide 'sweet spot', allows lots of people to experience the surround sound effects together, making it the ideal family entertainment system. For many people Panorama 2 will sound amazing on its own, however it's simple to add a subwoofer such as Bowers & Wilkins PV1D, for an even further enhanced experience.

Panorama 2 also has improved connection options, with the introduction of the latest HDMI connectivity. The three HDMI inputs and single HDMI output allows Panorama 2 to serve as the hub of your home entertainment system. So you can boost the audio performance not only of broadcast television, but also Blu-ray movie and games.

Panorama 2 retains the original's aesthetic, and in terms of design and dimensions it is almost identical. However, it is now even easier to use thanks to a new proximity-sensing control panel and more intuitive On Screen Display (OSD). When Panorama 2 is operating the display is completely black, but when the user's hand gets close, it slowly illuminates, allowing the user to control Panorama 2 directly. Panorama 2 is set up and configured through the OSD, and the menu system is designed to be so simple it can be used straight out of the box, without having to read the manual.

Panorama 2 sets new standards for soundbars. It dramatically boosts the performance of televisions whether you are watching movies, listening to music or playing games, while offering comprehensive connectivity and control.

Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 2 is available late October and priced at $2,200.00

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 SVS, a worldwide leader in high performance home audio products, proudly announces its newest, most décor-friendly Ultra series subwoofer yet, the SB13-Ultra. Designed to combine best-in-class audio performance with advanced engineering, refined aesthetics, and easy room integration, the SB13-Ultra delivers the same size-no-object bass output for which SVS's subs are renowned in an elegant cabinet that's a perfect match for any room.

The SB13-Ultra has a number of advanced design elements that set it apart from the competition. Instead of merely adapting the famous 13.5-inch Ultra 13 driver for the SB13's new, more compact sealed enclosure, the engineers radically revised the motor geometry, added a unique, ultra-high-power aluminum voice coil, and developed a custom gap extension plate that increases linear stroke and reduces distortion. Add to that dual linear-roll spiders, a stitched parabolic surround, and the ultra-light but rigid Rohacell composite cone material of the Ultra 13 driver, and the result is an incredibly robust subwoofer with extreme excursion that easily outperforms subwoofers costing twice as much.

To complement these driver refinements, the SB13-Ultra employs an integrated SVS 1000W (3,200 watts peak power) DSP Sledge™ amplifier with sophisticated DSPs perfectly matched to the driver and cabinet, and an equalization curve optimized for enhanced transient response and to complement room gain. Although it's rated to deliver 20Hz to 460Hz (±3dB), in the right room, with the right settings, it can easily reach down to a gun-wrenching 15Hz, without diminishing the nuanced textures and incredible transient response that audiophiles demand. Its room-size compensation control also allows the SB13-Ultra to sonically adapt to any size room, not just the labs of SVS. Power users will appreciate the two-band parametric equalizer (PEQ), yet this advanced feature is easily disabled for users who prefer to rely on the bass management of their favorite preamp or receiver.

"The SB13-Ultra subwoofer brings SVS's lauded Ultra performance to a form factor that's perfect for applications in which aesthetics are just as important as performance," said Gary Yacoubian, SVS president and managing partner. "Its relatively compact design allows us to deliver our best technology into spaces that might not have accommodated our subwoofers before, which makes it a genuinely exciting launch for us. It's time for a whole new audience to fall in love with our incomparable sound."

Is the SB13-Ultra the right subwoofer for your system? Let SVS's online technician, Merlin, help you decide. Merlin matches with your existing speaker system, regardless of brand, to provide SVS's recommendations and customized settings to optimize your new subwoofer's sound to your specific setup. Offered direct to the consumer, all SVS subwoofers include a 45-day in-home trial for worry free evaluation.

The SVS SB13-Ultra will ship September 30 with an MSRP of $1599.

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 DEQX (say it like DEX), manufacturers of leading-edge Preamp Processors providing speaker correction, crossover and room compensation, introduces the HDP-Express II for two-channel audiophiles looking to upgrade their system in a BIG way!

Master the Art of Timing
DEQX processors correct the distortion that all speakers make – electro-mechanical devices that they are – with room compensation an added extra. DEQX processors are unique in correcting frequency-response errors as other units do but also critical timing errors by adjusting thousands of frequency groups to arrive on time. The results are startling; two-channel and surround systems open up in a dramatic way when timing, phase and amplitude accuracy are restored to the speakers with judicious room compensation added. Everything becomes more physical, dynamic and precise, open and powerful making it much easier to be involved with your music and video. .

Introducing the HDP-Express II
The HDP-Express II packs much of the new technology of our flagship HDP-4 Preamp Processor – now shipping! – in a new, extraordinarily cost-effective design. Like its predecessor the HDP-Express II provides DEQX Inline™ correction for your existing speakers, room and media. Plus it facilitates precise integration of one or a pair of subwoofers. The Express II also supports 2- or 3-way active speakers for those opting for DEQX XO™ Active configurations now or in the future.

The Express II uses professional-grade components and power supplies while the HDP-4 is outfitted with audiophile-grade parts throughout adding a linear mains power supply. DEQX also kept the price of the Express II down by moving all front-panel controls to the Remote and deleting the HDP-4's balanced analog and digital outputs for a simpler chassis.

The MSRP for the Express II is $2,950 USD while the HDP-4 remains $4,950 USD, both available now. Frankly it's a huge value considering the many features of our premier HDP-4 – including the powerful Remote – found in the HDP-Express II.

Measure (and Correct) Speakers First Then the Room
Measuring the speakers first – rather than the room – our comprehensive DEQX-Cal™ software generates correction filters for proper phase, group-delay and frequency-response all of which varies with frequency! The HDP-4 and HDP-Express II actually correct the typically large timing errors that speakers always produce and returns frequency-response accuracy to that of the original recording. Only then does DEQX-Cal measure from the listening area for room correction.

DEQX technology is unique! It corrects frequency-response and timing errors by adjusting thousands of frequency groups to one degree or another depending on your speakers' measurements so they arrive at the correct time. The results are startling; two-channel and surround systems open up in a dramatic way when timing, phase and amplitude accuracy are restored to the speakers followed by judicious room compensation. Everything becomes more dynamic and precise, open powerful and palpable, making it much easier to get involved with music and video.

How unique is DEQX? Traditional analog and digital EQ corrupts timing coherence around the frequencies they're trying to equalize for volume. DEQX Preamp Processors slow down on-time and early-arriving frequencies so slower frequencies catch up. That just can't be done in the analog domain! DEQX uses real computing horsepower to make that happen with a 240-megaflop floating-point Digital Signal Processing Engine that essentially achieves zero distortion.

DEQX XO Active speaker architecture features linear-phase crossovers driving separate amplifiers that drive individual speaker drivers. The steep and truly linear-phase crossovers dramatically improve resolution at normal and higher volume by limiting crossover and compression distortion without the usual phase errors introduced by traditional crossover filters. With each driver operating in its most linear range you'll enjoy a more natural, coherent sound.

The Forensic Tone Control!
The DEQX Remote features Standby, Profile Select, Volume, Mute and Input Select, and what must be the world's most powerful tone controls. Its three bands include Lo, Mid and Hi with up/down buttons for +/- 1dB adjustments (-9dB to +9dB). If you get lost there's a ZERO button and another that clears all three bands of EQ.

The bass band defaults to below 100Hz with a shallow slope, while the highs default to above 3kHz. However both frequency and slope are also user definable on the fly – there's a table on the back of the remote to help you out.

While Lo and Hi settings are shelved, the Mid band is fully parametric and adjustable from the remote! Although it's called the Mid-EQ channel because of its default midrange setting, its center frequency can be set in octaves from lowest bass to highest highs then fine-tuned by moving frequency up or down by semitones. Bandwidth ranges from one semitone (1/2th octave) to four octaves wide!

The Forensic Tone Control is detailed enough to allow effective room EQ by ear alone as the controls provide instant adjustments that don't overwhelm the sound like traditional tone controls or wind up sounding overly-detailed like some pro-world parametric EQ.

Use the powerful Forensic Tone Control as a Media Corrector by simply choosing a Preference EQ for low listening levels, particular recordings or record labels, and save it to one of 99 presets for instant recall!

We're DEQXperts!
Contact us for installations using our surprisingly affordable DEQXpert™ services. We can come to you or run the comprehensive DEQX Cal™ software for you on a secure, remote connection. You'll need a simple USB link to your PC (or Windows on a Mac platform) using our calibrated microphone and a broadband connection.

If you opt for a remote setup a DEQX Agent guides you through the process explaining as much or as little as you'd like. DEQX-Cal measures your existing system in fine detail and builds filters that correct the inevitable phase and balance problems that muddy the sound and collapses the sense that you're inside the action. If you want to install yourself we can lend a hand online with tips and directions on getting the best from your setup. You can also talk to us about using DEQX Cal yourself… you can do it!

Moving Up
Our valued customers won't be left out in the cold when we introduce new products. DEQX always offer generous trade-up specials. Feel free to email your unit's serial number to sales@deqx.com for a quote. The price depends on a number of factors including age, model and type. Of course you can always keep your HDP-Express or HDP-3 for surround speakers and add a HDP-Express II or HDP-4 for the front! You can set up with multiple DEQX Processors for a surround system supporting all configurations or just a single stereo unit correcting the left and right fronts for an impressive improvement at minimal cost. All DEQX correction files are compatible with these two new processors.

Calibration
If not working with a DEQX Agent in your home or studio and want to measure and correct the speakers and room yourself or via remote connection to a US Agent you'll need either the Standard Calibration Kit or Reference Calibration Kit. For the highest performance speaker correction DEQX recommends the Reference Calibration Kit with Earthworks microphone. The Beringher microphone with the Standard Calibration Kit has a 20kHz top-end correction limit but the HDP-3 passes up to 40kHz. The HDP-4 also comes with DEQX Cal Software and Firmware.

The Method
Other "room correction devices" simply adjust amplitude response – uneven output at different frequencies – to offset room modes. But they don't address phase or group-delay timing issues that exist in all real-world speakers.

DEQX works with whatever you're listening to and results in startling improvements. Modestly-priced stand-mounted speakers to top-tier audiophile brands all sound better with DEQX!

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 beyerdynamic presents the CUSTOM ONE PRO – the premium headphone that completely adapts to the user, both in terms of sound and style.

Farmingdale, NY. Every day is different, and so is every genre of music. Sometimes you want driving beats to provide your day with rhythm, other times you need quiet sounds to help you relax and unwind – at home or on the go, in loud or in quiet environments. The requirements often change hour to hour. beyerdynamic, the audio specialist from Heilbronn, Germany, has developed the perfect headphone for this kind of flexible lifestyle: CUSTOM ONE PRO lets you listen to music interactively.

The first model of the brand new CUSTOM series changes its sound characteristics in the blink of an eye – from clear analytical sound to booming colorful beats and back in less than a second. The style is just as flexible: The style kits, which are available as accessories, make it easy to give your headphones a new look with just a few quick movements. You can change your headphone's look at any time, even long after the initial purchase.

CUSTOM Sound Slider: Sound tuning with one movement
The CUSTOM sound slider is your tool for maximum listening customization: Flexible bass reflex vents on the ear cups change the headphones' sound characteristic in four stages. When the vents are closed, they keep the transducer membranes under strict control, which produces a streamlined, analytical sound. However, with every notch on the slider, the CUSTOM ONE PRO adds another layer of bass until the wearer can literally feel the air pumping out of the headphones thanks to the ultra-light velocity transducer.

The result is thundering bass of unimaginable proportions, primarily because there is no equalizer in the amplifier to manipulate the frequency. The CUSTOM ONE PRO delivers this powerful sound on its own, without difficulty and without distortion. The throbbing beat machine can just as quickly be turned into sophisticated headphones for your home stereo system. Or a control monitor for listening in on a jam session in your rehearsal space. Perfectly in-tune with every mood and every musical genre: this is the result of beyerdynamic's decades of experience as a studio and stage audio equipment supplier.

CUSTOM Noise isolation: integrated noise protection
A side effect of the innovative sound slider: It transforms the CUSTOM ONE PRO incrementally from an open to a closed headphone. Noise pollution, such as droning airplane engines or street noise, is kept out and is no longer a source of irritation. Moreover, this noise isolation feature is much more pleasant than electronic noise-cancellation. There is no uncomfortable feeling of pressure against your ears and the headphones do not require additional batteries.

Velocity Drivers: powerful sound for every application
The newly developed 16 Ohm drivers from our professional line of accessories ensure a high degree of efficiency and a maximum volume of 116 decibels. The membranes are some of the lightest in the world and transform the power of the neodymium magnets into pure sound without distortion. Inefficient mobile devices such as smartphones or MP3 players can now play in peak form, while this powerful drive teases the finest details out of your stereo system at home.

CUSTOM Style: personalized design
The CUSTOM ONE PRO offers not only personalized sound, but also personalized design. This began in the development stages: On Facebook, in online forums and on the beyerdynamic website, users were asked to vote on the headphones' appearance. The result is a truly professional look: The CUSTOM ONE PRO (199 €) comes in matte black with a few subtle red accents. This outfit is a clear signal that this is a serious headphone and it isn't just a toy.

The fun is only just beginning with the first model. Starting in September, every headphone can be personally styled on the beyerdynamic website (www.beyerdynamic.com/custom). The rings, covers and cushions on the ear pads are interchangeable, as is the cushioned headband – and not only when you are ordering your headphones, but also at any time afterwards. The user can switch the parts easily by hand in just a few simple moves.

CUSTOM Cable: docking made simple
The CUSTOM cable also offers the highest level of flexibility and can be modified just as easily as the rest of the headphone. Various lengths and designs or a headset function with a gooseneck microphone – anything is possible. The special locking device holds the cable securely in position, even when things start to heat up on the street or when DJing in the club. In other words, professional quality that is "Made in Germany" has never been as exciting as with the CUSTOM ONE PRO. Welcome to the world of sound styling

Open to a new listening experience: T 90 - the first Tesla headphones by beyerdynamic in an acoustically transparent design

NEWS RELEASE 10/1/12 Farmingdale, NY 2012: Nothing comes between a sound enthusiast and his music - only open headphones give this feeling of closeness and acoustic transparency. Instead of completely shielding the user from the outside world, it allows him to take part in normal activities since the music flows, breathes and sounds completely natural – just like with the new T 90 by beyerdynamic.

The T 90 with Tesla technology (499 Euros) marks another milestone in headphone development for the Heilbronn-based audio specialist. This is because the tried and tested Tesla models that are highly praised by music fans were, until now, only available in the semi-open and closed design, such as the T 1, T 5 p or T 70/T 70p.

Under the name Tesla, beyerdynamic has produced a series of design features that lend the headphones extraordinary effectiveness and, at the same time, especially balanced sound. The T 90 also works with the efficient Tesla sound transducers. It develops a power and richness of detail, which accurately characterizes it as exceptional headphones.

Above all, acoustic experts have compared it to enjoyable, spontaneous listening: Without having to concentrate or adapt, the music fan can be immersed in the sound immediately. The T 90 combines the neutral and analytical sound of the Tesla transducer with a full and warm acoustic color and exuberance, making it entertaining from the first note. And, thanks to the high efficiency of this transducer, it can be enjoyed with an iPad on the sofa or on a hi-fi system. The three metre-long connection cable with the gold-plated screw adapter offers sufficient mobility at all times.

Comfortable ear pads made of velvety microfiber, which have a temperature-balancing and moisture-regulating effect, makes listening a pleasurable experience, even for hours on end. The material is skin-friendly and has been tested for harmful substances in accordance with the Ökotex standard. For an open design, outer shells must be acoustically transparent. beyerdynamic achieves this with a material whose three-dimensional structure is both robust and sound permeable: Swiss tulle. The satin-gloss special textile in elegant mocha-brown underscores the special status of the headphones with its prestigious look - and is an exciting contrast to the headphones' cradles and rings made from solid anodized aluminum. Like all premium beyerdynamic headphones, the latest addition to the Tesla family is made by hand at the company headquarters in Heilbronn.

The T 90 opens a whole new world for discerning music fans - in sound, appearance and tactile quality. The T 90 will be available starting at the end of June from authorized specialist dealers or directly from the manufacturer.

NEWS RELEASE 9/5/12 Nordost is pleased to announce the introduction of their new Blue Heaven High Speed HDMI cable. This is the first HDMI cable entirely designed, manufactured and hand-terminated in the USA, and was built to overcome the quality control and performance variability that is so apparent with mass-produced HDMI cables. Nordost's proven track record of developing and applying proprietary production techniques and technology to create groundbreaking audio cables has enabled them to set a completely new price/performance benchmark in the HDMI field. The Blue Heaven HDMI meets the stringent DPL certification standards out to a length of 5M, demonstrating its superior performance and consistency.

Constructed using 19 Micro Mono-Filament, air-space, silver-plated oxygen free copper, solid core conductors, the cable employs a twin-axial design to ensure consistent performance and shielding, as well as materials and technological continuity with the other cables in the Blue Heaven family. The use of MMF construction and FEP insulation increases transmission speed, reduces dielectric absorption and improves mechanical stability, resulting in superior eye-pattern performance from a cable that finally brings the exacting standards expected in two-channel systems to the realm of AV and picture transmission. Despite the level of technology and materials employed and the fact that each cable is hand-terminated, the Blue Heaven HDMI is priced at a realistic $350 US for a 1M cable ($100 US for each extra meter).

Nordost will launch the Blue Heaven HDMI in active demonstrations at TAVES (Toronto Audio Video Entertainment Show) in Toronto from the 28th to 30thof September and RMAF (Rocky Mountain Audio Fest) in Denver from the 12th to 14th of October 2012. We believe in giving you the chance to assess our claims for yourself.

NEWS RELEASE 9/5/12 Audio Power Labs, a company born of a desire to create products that provide the ultimate listening experience for music lovers and audiophiles is proud to announce the 50TNT™ monoblock amplifier.

The ability of tubes to amplify audio without the harshness often associated with solid state technology is well known. The drawback with most vacuum tubes, however, is their tendency to add distortion to the signal as volume is increased and their need for large power supplies to provide the level of voltage and current needed for their operation.

With the 50TNT™, our audio and electronic engineers have overcome these challenges. Using the newest liquid cooled, heat pipe technology, they developed a switched-mode power supply system of manageable size that enables our unit to be self-contained and to sustain continuous low frequency tones without distorting the audio far longer than most other tube based power amplifiers. In addition, the audio signal path is devoid of any capacitors or solid state devices, using tubes and coupling transformers exclusively. As a consequence, distortion is kept to less than two percent across the unit's entire fifty watt power range.

Innovative technology also includes a microprocessor with color LCD user interface that performs auto biasing of all the tubes in the amplifier, as well as providing automated startup and shutdown sequencing of the power supply subsystems.

The 50TNT™ is designed with a push-pull configuration of 572B direct heated triodes with zero negative feedback to deliver the highest quality sound. Because the output transformer operates with little or no quiescent magnetic field, push-pull is considered superior to the alternative single-ended configuration, especially in terms of the ability to deliver greater amplification with little or no increase in distortion.

The ultimate marriage of astounding audio transparency and stunning physical design, the 50TNT™ is the product of over three years of work by a team of audio, electronics and design engineers. This is the only 572B push-pull amplifier being manufactured in the world today.

Our design engineers were as concerned with the appearance as our audio engineers were with the sound. So the 50TNT™ is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear. The hand-polished aluminum housing is a work of art and is a home worthy of the masterpiece of audio engineering it houses.

The design is at once contemporary and classic. The art-deco style is bold, yet refined. The glass enclosure showcases the 572Bs, inviting the eye to study the intricate construction of the filaments, plates and electrodes, which bask in a warm glow when the unit is powered.

Price: $47,500 per pair

NEWS RELEASE 9/5/12 Bel Canto Design, Ltd., manufacturers of analog and digital source components, amplifiers and accessories, know that a huge number of audiophiles – tech-savvy and traditionalists – use computers as a primary music source and like all enthusiasts want the beyond-CD sound they're capable of. Bel Canto makes it happen with three new Asynchronous USB Link Converters; the entry-level mLink, moving-on-up uLink, and top-of-the-line REFLink. These new USB Link Converters isolate the music signal – and clocks – from the harsh, noisy electrical environments of computers and music servers.

The new Bel Canto Link Converters take the USB output of your computer and deliver ultra-low jitter S/PDIF for your favorite DAC… most likely a Bel Canto 3.5VB Mk II, 2.5 or 1.5! All three USB Link Converters feature native MAC USB 2.0 compatibility, a custom Windows USB 2.0 driver, and operate at 16- or 24-bits at 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192kHz on a proprietary 500MHz DSP Core.

It's All About the Clocks
Asynchronous USB does one thing really, really well; decoupling the critical audio clock from the music data just as you find in the pro audio world. As a result the new USB Link Converters' output noise and jitter is now entirely dependent on the quality of the clocks! Since the oscillators are now free-running and isolated from the incoming data stream the Low and Ultra-Low Phase-Noise Clocks now available make an astounding difference, turning the uLink and REFLink into essentially noise-free sources that... take the digital out of digital sound!

mLink
You have a TON of downloaded and ripped music on hard disk and you're putting together a compact, economical audio system or trying to make the one you have sound better… a lot better. Bel Canto has you covered with the mLink USB converter. It uses Dual Low-Noise Clocks that are 10-to-100 times lower noise than typical oscillators! The compact mLink takes its power from the USB connection applying filtering and multiple dedicated supplies and outputs SPDIF on a BNC connector. Its compact dimensions make it easy to place and you'll be agog at the difference for the better. Read more here!

uLink
uLink audiophiles are much like mLinkers but with somewhat better-developed and higher-resolution systems. As the clocks are isolated from the audio signal they control the sound and the uLink steps up with Dual Ultra-Low Phase-Noise Clocks, Ultra-Low defining the difference between the mLink and uLink's clocks. The uLink's oscillators are more costly and deliver even lower jitter and noise which enhances the Bel Canto Jaw-Dropping Effect! Your friends will come to see if you're okay after it happens the first time.

The uLink also takes power from the USB connection so its compact dimensions make it easy to place. Like the mLink the power supply is filtered with multiple dedicated supplies. The uLink outputs SPDIF on a BNC connector and a ST Fiber Output compatible with the DAC3.5VB Mk II which sounds fantastic with a uLink and master-tape vivid with a REFLink! Read more here!

REFLink
The REFLink, John Stronczer at his engineering best. Audiophiles are a savvy lot assembling sophisticated computer-based systems because of convenience... and better sound of course. REFLinkers have already ripped – or had ripped for them – a huge collection of music to external hard drives and probably use Audirvana Plus, Pure Music or Amarra with iTunes on a MAC or JRiver Media Center on a PC for bit-perfect playback.

The ST Fiber output is convenient for anyone with a Bel Canto 3.5VB Mk II or you can run SPDIF on BNC or AES/EBU to any other DAC for an experience you won't forget! Immediate results, no waiting! The REFLink features Dual Ultra-Low Phase-Noise Clocks and on ST Fiber Optic achieves triple galvanic isolation.

The REFLink is a masterpiece of engineering in a full AC-powered e.One chassis using the same LNS (Low Noise Supply) as the DAC2.5. As lower noise allows clocks to dominate the sound, the LNS dramatically lowers line noise with multiple stages of isolated power that drive individual sections of the circuit. The output clocks and line-drivers are powered by a separate low-noise power supply. Read More Here!

Immediate Gratification!
The sonic impact of lowering noise to this degree is stunning; a highly organic analog-like presentation predominates. You'll enjoy improved soundstaging and spatial positioning, fully-developed micro- and macro-dynamics that give music life, tighter, more controlled bass, a beguiling midrange and a sense of openness and air in the high frequencies that puts you in close contact with your music time and again!

Production
Bel Canto's music products are made in Minnesota and subscribe to low-impact production methods that put little waste back into the system. Reduced packaging volume and lower transport weight reduces environmental impact. Bel Canto reuses or recycles more than 99% of the packing materials found in incoming parts shipments, and each year diverts massive amounts of cardboard, paper, plastic film, and Styrofoam from landfills. Steel, aluminum, and other metal waste products are recycled and returned to the production stream.
